This is a fantastic fish shop. The fish is fresh & treated with care. Great fish & chips. There is passion in what they do. If in Mt Eden definitely try this place for your fish.
$50 for a family pack and you get the thinnest pieces of dry fish and half cooked chunky fries. We ordered crumbed and got battered and the tartare sauce is bland. Not great and very expensive for what you get.
Great service and fish from justin as always.Love my visits t the fish shop.🐟🐠🐡
Nice fish and really good chips. The people running the place are really nice and it doesn't feel like your usual fish and chips shop
Mt Eden Village Fish Shop always supply me with beautiful fish. Super fresh and their smoked salmon has a terrific flavour to it. Never disappoints!
I had a fish burger and chips. Great fish burger and great crispy chips. Some reviews complain about the price. I have thrown up from supermarket fish that was clearly not great and fresh. I rather pay a bit more for good quality, fresh fish!! Thanks - I will be coming back!!
What the hell happened to your fish and chips?
I rang and made a phone order and the call was answered by a man who sounds suicidal. Open entering the shop to collect and pay, I stood a long time before someone even acknowledged I was there.
Absolutely disappointed when I got home. $30 worth of tasteless dry food, I think battered polystyrene would have more taste.
I will NOT be coming back and I'll be sure to pass on the message that this is not the glorious fish shop it once was
Lovely little store with good fish and chips
Small tidy clean interior. The fish and chips is over priced. Fish was almost $9 for beer battered fish and chips were $2:50 for half a scoop and $4 for a normal scoop. Fish was utterly bland. Chips were fine. Other seafood we got was rubbery and tasteless. This is not the place to buy your fish and chips. Totally disgusting and bland. Really brassed off having spent almost $30. Ended up tossing the seafood and eating the chips only. Totally gutted.
Good place to buy fresh fish. Takeaway fish and chips are really expensive for what you get. Batter on the heavier side - snapper was fresh though. They also offer crumbed and grilled fish. Lemon slices provided with your small order. Staff are really nice and happy.
