New team, excellent service, great atmosphere. Music and food sounds and taste real Italy. Wood fire pizza and osso bucco are awesome.

Fantastic. Brilliant Italian food and excellent service. First time I have eaten here and it was great. Did first table which also worked a treat as this gives you a discount on the food. Restaurant was packed and the service remained excellent. Thanks Al Forno we will definitely be back.

First time visit. Food was excellent. Don't go if you are on a diet. Best tiramisu in years. We will definitely be back. It was booked out and busy busy busy but the service was spot on. Right amount of time between courses and really friendly. It was nice to go out and get decent food for a decent price. Best Italian in Auckland we have been to.

Always a concern when a favorite restaurant has changed hands, but same great menu and food. Different people but same welcoming approach to customers and great ambiance. Great new owners carrying on tradition.

after years visiting Al Forno, we went again this last Saturday 1/4/17
April fools day for sure.!
under new management - total confusion- service lousy - food passable
the management could not give a darn about clients welfare or experience- when we left - 3 of them with their backs to customers that were leaving - whilst they were busy hovering over a counter catting
Previous owners had the courtesy and respect for customers to at least say good bye and enquiring if all was satisfactory. The whole ambience is gone - it is just now a food factory. They should have left this restaurant to Italians or Macedonians. they know about hospitality

Best dinner in a long while! Could not criticise even if I wanted! Steak was perfect, desert was to die for! 11/10 would recommend!

Can only speak from my experience but went on a Tuesday night at 7 and didn't get served food until 9. Food was okay, no problems there. Not worth a 2 hour wait though.

We have dined here many times. As always the service is friendly and genuine. .and the food is just what you expect it to be. Calamari is spectacular. Linguine excellent and the veal good. This is a restaurant that understands its clientele and delivers extremely well to them. An excellent neighborhood restaurant. Nearly always very very busy for good reason.
