Closes at 2pm through the website states 4pm. Disappointed as we got here before 4pm and cant enter Tarawera Falls without a permit.

Really helpful when I came here for the first time and was going to Tarawera Falls, they explained everything, and were incredibly helpful. Really lovely people.

It's a new iSlTE recently. It has been massively renovated to bring it into all national iSlTE standards. It has super friendly and helpful staff. The Public Toilets attached to the building are under going a fabulous make over now.

This is the gateway to "Tarawera Falls". You take permit here at iSite, and drive towards Private Forest land for about 30Kms, gravel road to reach this treasure falls. See it to believe it.
