  Fantastic experience. Took the 2.5-hour trek up inclines to the top of the property. Horses were in good shape. Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Sheep were everywhere!

  I've been to many trail riding places and this ranks as the best in terms of staff skill, organisation and safety. We had a lovely ride with gorgeous scenery. The guides catered well for riders of all levels. I loved it so much I wanted to go back the next day, sadly we couldn't fit it in. I can't recommend this highly enough.

  Had a great 2 hours trek. Friendly people and Lucy takes pride in her horses and stable. Entire experience was beyond my expectations. Keep it up guys. Highly recommended to go with Lucy. You can also take a dip in Lake Okareka or Lake Tikitapu after your ride.

  Very impressed! I have been around horses and riding for almost 25 years, and have seen a few stables around the world - but I found Lucy's property exceptional. The stable is neat and organized, the horses look very healthy and are friendly and well-trained. Lucy takes the time and the effort to educate her assistants (helps them understand why things are done the way she requests them), and makes sure that larger groups are accompanied by enough guides to provide sufficient support to everyone. (This also allows her to satisfy more advanced riders' wishes to go faster here and there.) One thing that truly stood out to me is how Lucy is calm, thoughtful and incredibly polite - with everyone, including the horses. There is always a certain danger factor to horseback riding, but among these circumstances, accidents are much less likely to happen - thumbs up! The landscape is beautiful, even the shorter treks are spectacular. Lucy also takes a photo of people once the group reaches a nice elevated view of the lake. Excellent service, well worth the money.

  Such a wonderful experience, took my partner for his first time and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Best trek ever, riders were really kind and helpful, horses are friendly and such a joy to be around. Thanks guys for a great day:)

  My favourite trek in New Zealand. I was astonished at how friendly they were and they took good care of me as I was a traveller and did not have money so they let me in for the night with the sweetest hospitality! Nevertheless the horses at these stables are wonderful, I had the chance to ride an ex race horse which was incredibly beautiful! I would recommend this trek to anyone! Beautiful scenery and a lot of fun and friendly stuff as well. Sanne xx
