We booked the Ibis Hamilton online for 1 nights accomodation. Our room had not been fully cleaned. We found staffs attitude to be lacking. The best part of the stay was the outdoor bistro area - the vista made that at least bearable having had to argue over breakfast charges. We would not recommend and will not be returning

Clean and comfortable. A little better than expected for an ibis hotel. Restaurant with breakfast and nice view of the river. Full Sky TV which was a pleasant surprise. Valet parking at a reasonable price which was essential for the area as parking is limited and you can walk pretty much anywhere in the CBD.

Beds were very comfy. Rooms tidy. Only downside is trains not too loud but could still hear them

Very nice and clean. Moden. Well looked after. Food was good. Bed was large and comfortable. The shower was at the right hight. I hate how mist players have showers for kids that point at my belly button. It was nice to be able to stand under it for a change. I will be back.

small rooms, no furniture to unpack for 2 weeks. needs updating
Update: the manager stopped me in the lobby concerned about my comment. Asked if there was anything he could do, I told him I understood his concern, that there really isn't anything he could do. I don't believe his is in charge of paint and carpet.
To note: Breakfast was good, staff very friendly and helpful. Also, their are workout facilities next door at their sister hotel.

Friendly staff, nice food and comfortable rooms, nice view over the river. Handy to City. Have to mark it down for not having free WiFi though - surely that’s a standard these days for a hotel that business people stay at.

Had Jeff and Kathy's wedding reception here at IBIS today. Awesome and thanks to Rangi our very fun waitress and to Courtney who organised everything. Great menu and venue!

A nice hotel with views across the river and close to the city. I got a warm kiwi welcome from the friendly and helpful check-in staff but I was very disappointed that you had to pay extra for internet. This seems bizarre in this day and age :(

They oversold the rooms so we didn't get the configuration we asked for, told with such indifference, no solution offered. Turns out, the beds could be changed to what we booked, the first person was just too lazy to offer. The shower was horrible, turns cold every 2 seconds and the floor was extremely slippery. I tried calling reception from the room several times and noone answered. Housekeeping were lovely. Luckily we were on passing through and stayed one night, never again.

This is our local. Quiet, good food and staff are very friendly. They have no problem just chatting. We feel very welcome. Thanks

Well priced, excellent location and very comfortable. Only noticeable downside is the some of noise particularly from staff as they go about their morning cleaning duties.

Would never stay here again. Very disappointed with the room (was supposed to be river view, instead got view of a bridge). I called numerous times before we checked in and left messages, no call back. We checked in at 3pm to be told our room was semi ready (but there were no towels) and it would be sorted. The shower is awful and we heard thru the grate in the bathroom the people next door every time they used the vanity. I had to ring at 7.30pm to finally get some sent up. Checkout took ages as there was only one person at the counter. No apologises or anything. The $50 deposit they took from my credit card immediately was supposedly to be refunded back, however that took till Wednesday (3 days after). I sent an email and answered their customer satisfaction email with all this and not one response. While location is excellent, if your wanting customer service and a room you requested and paid for don't go here.

Hotel Ibis is pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a hotel. It's nothing special, but it's not bad. Reasonable views, central location, friendly staff.

Once our entrees came they was cold, old and not very enjoyable. Our mains came and they were worse, chicken was so tough and once again everything was cold. No one came over once to ask how our meal was. We were told there was no smoking on the deck when asked because we hate it. However a guest came out onto the deck and started smoking. After telling someone at the front desk, nothing was done. The gentleman walked over to the man and said nothing. Then fumbled around looking for someone else to tell him to stop, meanwhile this guy is blowing cigarette smoke everywhere finally someone said something to him and then came over and told us they didn't say something at first because they couldn't smell the smoke!! Shocking. Glasses were dirty, fingerprints all over the dessert cups. Just a very bad experience considering we are loyal Accor members. Definitely won't be returning, very dissapointing having such a negative experience.
