Friendly reception, rooms were fairly standard, comfy bed. The only minor quibble was the fact that the windows didn't appear to have hush glass / double glazing - at night there were boy racers doing loops around the hotel, blasting low-quality reggae from tinny speakers. Felt sorry for anyone who was trying for an early night!

Our room had just been renovated and was very modern and comfortable. Other rooms on our floor were still being updated but the construction was unobtrusive. Gym facilities were sufficient for a quick workout and the gym was tidy and clean. Service at the restaurant was friendly and professional even when busy. Front desk personnel were efficient. On one occasion our car was not ready when we indicated we needed it but the other two days were fine. Overall we were happy with our stay and would stay there again.

Recently stayed here for a conference. Conference room was comfortable and spacious, food was good (even catered for gluten free requirements), and the staff were always friendly and efficient. Hotel rooms were comfortable and clean, will be even better with the new bathrooms being installed. The fitness centre was good, even has a spa pool, (although the sauna was out of use). Great valet service, costing $20 per day. Good position in the town centre, walking distance to restaurants, cafes, shops, and only a few minutes walk to the Centre Place Mall. The hotel is right on the river, unfortunately the river walk path was closed for upgrade. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Hamilton.

Very handy right in town. Staff were great, cleaners exceptional. Unfortunately there were renovations going on, and were very loud on the Friday and Monday of out stay. Kids went to have a spa and one day it wasn't going at all, next day was cold.

Very happy with this short stay. Not that much to put fingers on. Only things I can mention are that a booked a early check in and it seemed like the hotel missing it, but I was lucky to get another ready room. Another thing was that my room service order (leftovers) still was in the room the next day after cleaning had been done. This I have never experienced before. But overall a good stay - I'll come back for sure.

We enjoyed the property - good service generally.
When we initially went down to the restaurant at 9:15pm there was only one person on and he was at the bar (which is located inside the restaurant), and he did not seem keen to seat us (there was no waiter in the restaurant). We were told by the bar man that they were about to close in 20 mins.We got the impression he wanted to go home.
Then later a couple more female attendants appeared, and their skills were somewhat more refined that the chap at the bar's. Overall we ended up having a nice meal, but we weren't confident it was going to be a good experience starting out.

Great rooms and facilities. But the main highlight was your staff. All departments worked seemlessly together to provide an amazing guest experience. Reception really knew their stuff and anticipated needs. I used tonne a front office manager and I know that what I was given was some amazing service that is based on great training, good managers and departments working together. Well done!!

We were given a first floor room on Victoria Street which was noisy on Saturday night, and it let in light, which wasn't great, however the option of requesting a personalised pillow was greatly appreciated as many hotel pillows are very soft and you don't get a good sleep on them. I was given a perfect firm pillow promptly by housekeeping staff and that was excellent.

The room was well-presented and comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location was very convenient, the only downside being right on Victoria Street for those in a room on that side. I used the gym and had a quick soak in the spa which was very enjoyable.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

On the whole, it was a satisfying experience with following suggestions for improvements:
1) Replenishment of toiletry supplies. Many a times we have to specifically ask for it.
2) to consider installation of a bidet.

nice quiet room, friendly staff but buffet breakfast was cold - the entire lot. They were busy at the time but the top up of fresh hot food was very slow.
Ideal location close to all amenities, pubs, bars, restaurants, casino and river walks

Great location and views from room ( riverside). Charming reception greeting. Room was extremely well appointed and comfortable. The choice of pillows through Accor Novotel is exceptional. Room was well planned, compact and very comfortable facing East. Breakfast was good, and room service exceptional. I would have liked to stay longer and look forward to a return stay.
