Great accommodation, warm and clean, with spa bath, lovely breakfast with fantastic home made jams and yummy hand made pies. Also had the opportunity to try Chinese dumplings which were delicious.

A must stay..quiet and clean. The owner is a wealth of knowledge and will take you on a free night time walk into the enchanted forest to see hundreds of glow worms in their natural state. Great rates, i would recommend this Lodge to anyone wanting a really nice place to stay. 10/10

A nice place in the center of the village, mostly frequented by tourists. The Lodge was used by young people, you always see this and hear it, especially at night. Don't forget the ear plugs for the night. Breakfast included and instant coffee, too. The bar close to the lodge is very good. I liked it.

It's a nice place but the room was small. We had a 1 bedroom suit. The queensize bed was in the main room a 2 beds in the br

Cozy place with beautiful view. Not expensive and you get great value. Facilities look well maintained and there's more of a village than Franz Josef

Excellent stay and great value for money!
Location: The lodge is best located just behind the visitor center, just 2-3 minutes walking distance to the best restaurant in Fox Glacier, The Last Kitchen and the only petrol station in town. Walking to the Fox Guiding and town center is only 5 minutes top. Close to main road yet away from the noise.
Room: We stayed for 2 nights in an one bedroom studio, room 3. The room is nicely decorated, very comfortable, well equipped and clean. Parking is in front of the room. We were given free 1G WiFi usage and a package of fresh milk as welcome drink on arrival.
Service: Very friendly and helpful hosts, introduced us the local attractions on our arrivals. Umbrellas always ready for guests who need it. The hosts went extra mile to offer help when in need without us asking for it. We're always grateful for it.
Definitely will stay again if we're visiting Fox Glacier again.response / report this review
