Friendly staff, good facilities. Just wish people could clean their dishes in the kitchen but that's no fault of the business. Place is run by backpackers. Really outdoorsy type of people seem to gravitate here.

Extremely friendly check-in, we arrived the night of the Halloween party at the attached restaurant, which was pretty fun! You get a 5% discount at the resistant too, which was nice. The room was accessed through a sliding glass door, which was a little odd. Room was reasonably spacious, the bathroom very similar to other hostels(tiny sink, shower insert with curtain, no shelf space). We were reasonably happy with the stay, only odd things were a slight urine smell coming from the bathroom sometimes(solved by keeping the door closed and bathroom window open); a build up of humidity when we weren't in the room, so it was warm and muggy when we came back from our excursions, even when the day was cool(solved by leaving the sliding door open for a bit upon our return); and that there wasn't an outlet near the bed, so our tech was all charging away from where we spent the majority of our time and we ended up sitting on the floor with our phones/laptops lol. TLDR; Good room, nice people, quiet methods, good budget stay with some quirks that were easily remedied.

Not a fan of the staff. Hotel is okay for solo travelers. Tourist pricing tho.. Even had a staff member casually stroll into my room! Now I keep the door locked.

Budget hotel for individual travellers and backpackers. Offers only the most basic amenities. Great location for hiking and skiing.

Eww. The entire room and all of the bedding smelled strongly like mildew, which I believe has got into the walls. There was also a half used bar of soap and no shampoo in the bathroom - clearly no one bothered to thoroughly clean the room and replace the toiletries between guests. To top it off, it got extremely cold in the room at night and there is no heating. And did I mention the blankets smell like mildew? Have a good night.

I'm surprised they're allowed to operate a hostel in this condition, which seems like a health hazard of the sort that governments typically shut businesses down for, and surprised that my tour company (TopDeck) considered them a suitable booking location, given that there are other cheap and much higher rated options next door. I hope that this isn't setting the pace for accommodations throughout the trip.

Unhappy customer. Drove past this accommodation because the signage is not at all clear. I guess only paying over $100 means getting a room that hadn't been vacuumed, really dirty floor, and food under the bed. Yuck! Our toilet made constant noise, unless we turned off the water. Our shower drain blocked as you showered. Party central with noise of verbal fighting in the early hours, then groups of guys standing outside, close to our room, smoking and talking loudly, again early in the morning. Woke feeling really tired. Did not enjoy the chicken salad in the restaurant, with minimal chicken and a very few vegetables, and masses of lettuce . underneath to make it look a lot. Felt ripped by that. I guess the owners don't feel the need to impress as it's a tourist town, but I personally do not recommend this accommodation, or restaurant. Hope my review makes them rethink what they offer.
