Awesome place to stay while in Franz!
The breakfast was awesome, pancakes and waffles definitely hit the spot.

Huge property with great facilities and very helpful staff.

Great staff, it has great facilities. It is a bit run down and the spiders have a safe home, but that's understandable with the lack of customers due to Covid lockdowns. We would definitely stay again ☺️

Amazing stay, very homely. Love the rustic vibe. Friendly staff and free breakfast and soup! Beds were comfy. Lots of lounges and areas to relax. And a beautiful view of the mountains. Great job guys, highly recommended 👍

Great accommodation, stayed in the double private room and it was excellent, very comfy bed as well. Free soup for dinners, free breakfast. Only bummer was the laundry room, washer and dryer didn’t do the best job. But other than that, excellent stay!

Fantastic backpackers!! Great, friendly & helpful service, warm & spacious self-contained double rooms, great room rate and an awesome free breakfast! The building is a bit dated but the place has a special historic charm to it. And the complimentary muffins & hot soup just made our stay. Best backpackers we've stayed in!!

The room was absolutely beautiful, comfortable and very well situated. We had an ensuite and a view. The breakfast is generous (didn't try the soup). The kitchens are well stocked with the necessary things, many available refrigerators for guests. The staff were happy and helpful. I couldn't imagine a better experience than what we had here. Definitely a good choice for couples, and the backpackers seemed quite satisfied as well. Definitely staying here again next time

A friendly place for backpackers. Quite clean for standard. It has 2 kitchens and many toilets and showers to be shared. Suite rooms are better with own bathroom inside. Wi-fi free but most of the time inaccessible. The staffs are friendly and helpful, it feels like home.

Rooms are very small and not always cleaned. Showers are horrible. The only good is the curtain for privacy and the location. It is very hot during summer.

So many facilities, and tbh the breakfast alone made that place worth the low asking price. The soup in the evenings is a really nice touch. It's a really good hostel already but they're in the process of renovating it in prep for next season and then I think it will be excellent!

We stayed one night at the hostel over the road. While it feels like they where competitors against each other. But this hostel is way better. With a pool, and waffles in the morning and also the great privet doormbeds I ever seen! And also, super cheap. 22 $ for one night.

Absolute excellent hostel!!! Clean, chilled and very nice! The beds are comfy and have a curtain to pull across for some privacy in the dorm rooms. It definitely makes the difference!

Staff are very friendly! Always running around to help guests.

The WiFi is free and very fast!

There are multiple laundry rooms, bathrooms, toilets and kitchens around the place.

Some evenings there is free soup on until it is used up. Free tea and coffee.

The free breakfast is waffles! Very filling and is popular! I think the breakfast alone was worth what I paid.

Would have been ok if there hadn't been a full-fledged German party above our room, with backpackers yelling, stomping and chanting German football songs all night long. It felt like they were about to break through the ceiling. We got 3 hours sleep max. Paid 75$ for a private room which isn't worth even half that considering the disgusting shared toilets and the fact that you won't get much sleep. Use airbnb instead, get better value and safe yourself the frustration of sleepless nights.

A very popular hostel, nice and cheap and all things needed provided including waffle mix in the morning. Nicely located to plenty of lovely bars and restaurants. We had quite noisy room next to us who despite a 10pm request to keep quite made a lot of noise in the early hours. Eventually they were told to go out to a bar as disrupting people. Our second night was lovely and peaceful. Overall busy and you get what you pay for but an easy environment.
