Came here for a pre-dinner cocktail with my girlfriends on my birthday. I had the Old Cuba, which was delicious. The decor and ambience is fabulous, lots of charm; exactly what you would expect in Napier. Drinks are pricey, but that's NZ for you. At least it was a well made drink.

We shopped around restaurants during our stay and we found Emporium had the friendliest staff, great tasting food, with art deco feel.

Excellent service and all round experience. The goats cheese tart was a stand out for me, and the red curry sauce (with chicken, rice and bok choy) was one of the best I've had.

Stopped in for a late lunch on our way through to Rotorua, received fast service and my smoked salmon was delicious and excellently presented. Venue suited the overall art deco look that Napier has become known for. Will visit again next time I'm on the east coast.

Management could of been nicer. We could of stayed for a while and had a few rounds of drinks; then moved onto desert. But because our drinks weren't alcoholic our $ wasn't worth their time. Such a bummer since we were celebrating a birthday.

Was wandering around Napier looking for a nice cafe for family lunch. The menu of this place didn't hugely appeal but it was the first we liked the look of. I have to say that everything we ordered was really well cooked and delicious. And expensive.
The decor is very attractive. The staff were very helpful and friendly but a bit odd about our kids (yes they probably want to order too thanks). But the kids menu was ok and they got some colouring stuff.response / report this review -

Had the BBQ Pulled pork breakfast roll. It was awesome. Staff were friendly and the menu had plenty of options that I would like to go back and try. Reasonably priced also.

The restaurant and bar is very nice, with friendly staff. They serve food all day long so it is perfect if you want to have a late lunch or early dinner, unlike most of the eateries in the area. It is a bit pricey but the food was amazing. Fresh, delicious, well prepared and beautifully presented.

Awesome bar set near the waterfront. We dined outside on the footpath and had a dedicated outside waiter. The food tasted great and came quickly in spite of a large number of diners. Very impressive
