One of the best vineyards for rosé. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Walked away with a few good bottles to bring back to Auckland. Will come back again to try out the restaurant.
On Saturday evening 22 July I had a date with a lovely man 4 his birthday and chose your restaurant great food ,atmosphere most enjoyable. Our young French waitress was absolutely lovely. I had only been Black Barn twice before , for lunch some years ago and a wedding 18 months so never for I will certainly be back . Thank you for a wonderful experience and evening
We had a less than enjoyable experience recently. The meal would have to be one of the worst ever.We both had the lamb dish for our main. The meat was like eating rubber definitely not a good recommendation for NZ lamb the cauliflower that came with it was all stalks and raw.To make matters worse we had try and enjoy this disaster listening to the worst background music you could ever find.Would never use or recommend this to anyone
We really enjoyed lunch.the setting is amazing the gift shop is cutegot some great relish there . recommend it
Beautiful vineyard, great wines, friendly staffs and it has it own hotel, theatre, kitchen wear shop and you will sure spend some great times here!I bough 3 bottles of their wine!
很美的酒庄,很友善的员工,这里有自己酒店,剧场,厨房用具店,你一定会有个美好的时间在这个酒庄。我买了3瓶他们的葡萄酒!
Great food and wine with professional service
Terrible wine. Okay food. Horrific service. Beautiful grounds though.
Beautiful indoors and outdoors. The food is world class. Tastings at the cellar are free, well presented and generous. There is also a cute gift shop where you can buy things various things including homewares, relishes and cook books and have it posted home as well.
Probably the most beautiful setting of any wineries we visited during our trip. Tastings were complimentary, which is great, however it is not advertised so there is always that uncertainty when you go to settle up. Wines were quite nice, they had a montepulciano which was a nice surprise. after tasting many syrahs in the region. The shop on site sold lovely gifts and treats which were thoughtfully selected. The restaurant had an exceptional view and would have been a great place for lunch but we didn't stay.
