Good fish and chips. Lovely firendly staff
Immaculately clean, wonderfully friendly staff and the food is fantastic. The fish is fresh and the batter is light and crisp. Beautiful. The chips are fried to perfection. The beef kroket are to die for. Close your eyes taste them and you are transported to the Netherlands. Except they taste even better than they are in Holland! Thanks Frying Dutchman for the wonderful food and my nostalgia hit :)
Food was ok. But the price and quantity was very small for the money paid
This is our go to fish n chip shop. I get the vegetarian spring roll and my partner gets either a fish, crab stick and/or a normal spring roll. Usually we go for kumara chips when we feel like chips too. Always yum! Never been a disappointment.
Great Fish and Chips - highly recommended
Only ordered the Chips as I'm a Celiac. Spoke to the Owner who said chips are offered as a Low Gluten option as they can't promise that cross contamination has occurred although their training endeavours to prevent this.
The best fish n chips I've had in a long time!!! 10/10 😊
Rude cook. Food took forever and was the smallest piece of fish. Very poor value. Girl at desk was nice and helpful. I won't be coming back.
Today I went to the frying Dutchman and ordered some small kumara fries $4.70. When I collected my order, I was given garlic fries. I queried this with the lady who served me who told me I had asked for garlic fries which I don't eat. I told her that I had asked for kumara fries and that I was happy to pay the difference for some kumara fries. I was referred to who I presume is the boss/owner or manager who told me that it was my fault for not checking my receipt and that I would have to pay again for kumara fries if I wanted them or I could have the garlic fries. When I told him that I didn't eat garlic fries and hadn't ordered them and I was prepared to pay the difference for what I had ordered he asked me what he expected me to do with the garlic fries as they would now be thrown away. Therefore if I wanted kumara fries I needed to pay the entire cost. While I admit that I didn't check my receipt, I did so in good faith that my order was accurate. However the lack of Customer service was appalling. For the loss of a lot less than $4 to his business (based on mark up). He has now lost my return business. Any business from my family and I imagine from my friends when they hear. Well done on a thoroughly poor, unreasonable business decision and customer service.
