Nearby work serving excellent beer and food. Love the 10 dollar steak deals. Combined with blackdog burgers next door, i could visit everyday if not every week.

Used to go here a long time ago. First time back and its still great. Friendly staff and customers. Great food and beer options. Stil got the atmosphere for kiwi's who love their rugby. Nice to go somewhere in the city that stil has the good old kiwi traditions. Thanks Empire.

It's not that bad, but I tried the steak and it was not quite good. Maybe I 'll come back but only if I would be nearby and extremely hungry.

A great watering hole with $10 Steak and Chips for Lunch. The owners are very friendly and are always on site. If there's a group of your gong ask them in advance for some free pizza.

Catch me here every Tuesday night for trivia! Quiz nights are always entertaining and fun. There's a great vibe and atmosphere, and the drinks are great. If you get the Empire Rewards card, there's a $50 deal that gives you a pepperoni pizza and kiwi keg (~4 beers)- a fantastic deal.
I highly recommended this place. The staff are super friendly and the Eton Mess dessert is INSANELY DELICIOUS! Just try it. You can thank me later. 😘response / report this review -
