Food quality are above average. but the price & size of dishes let them down a little bit. plus the interior decoration may needs to upgrade or renew.
anyway, we really enjoyed their platter deal.
The pork I ordered tasted off, I only had two bites but was still sick the next day. We were also overcharged, and given incorrect drinks. Definitely won't be going back.
The yummiest dinner I have had in ages it was perfect and a lovely atmosphere too
Dockside has amazing food and service, we've visited a number of times and always enjoy it. It's one of the few places located on the waterfront and over the water which makes for a superb atmosphere and they have a great selection of local craft beer!
Great location, good service and plenty of choice for food and drinks.
Food here is amazing. Always a great fish menu. In recent times we brought the baby and that worked too. Friendly staff.
The restaurant has a great location, you can watch people going by on the dockside and the Days Bay ferry coming in; the food was OK, esp. for us as vegetarians able to order several side dishes, but only one veggy main dish which we didn't bother with. The welcome was great and the service was attentive, except that I counted at least 15 times the waiting staff addressed us and other customers as "Guys" (My wife is definitely not a guy!) better to play safe and not say anything or if you can go more formal, try Sir or Madam. The music was a bit loud.
Friendly service, seperate bar and restaurant areas, cozy wooden interior and of course the food was fresh and delicious. Best to order a few sides though as the portions may not be enough for those who like Lonestar sizes. Handy location on the waterfront, right next to the Crabshack. Lovely views despite the wet weather.
Great place with outside seating, bit sometimes longer wait for food.
Cool restaurant in Wellington, offers a nice range of beers with great snack food and outdoor seating for sunny days.
One of the worst experiences I have had. The food was only just edible and the service was pretty much non-existent.
I was unimpressed with my visit to Dockside. The setting is beautiful but the food was pretty bland with tough meat. I understand that you pay a premium because of its location, but still when paying ~40 for a main I expect better quality. The staff were friendly and nice but there was a very long wait on both the food and drinks for no apparent reason. And being given a bill where you have to fill out the tip amount Ugh, we don't need this in NZ.
