Had lunch today with friends after I told them how good the place were, but sadly I was very disappointed. The food were expensive for the amount we got, the order was wrong, some of it were really very oily and almost not edible. Very dissatisfied and won’t go back.

Went there last Sunday, my partner got the big breakfast, which was tiny and super disappointing. I got a salad from the cabinet, which was supposed to be with Kumara, pumpkin, pomegranate and honey dressing.. couldn’t find any Kumara, had 3 small pieces of pumpkin and a tiny amount of pomegranate, the rest was dry rocket and spinach, couldn’t taste or see any dressing. It took ages til we got the food and it didn’t even come in sink (cooked breakfast came before salad, which was already prepared in cabinet)..
Very disappointed :(

I heard this cafe is under new ownership and took my friend there for breakfast. The service was great, and the food was superb and beautifully presented. It was a very pleasant restaurant experience. Will definitely go back. Great value too and good size portions. Great to see longer opening hours too.

The food took a long time and when it came out it looked like there was minimal effort put into it. I asked for the chicken sand which but made vegetarian by replacing the chicken with mushrooms. When the food came out it had a small amount of brown avocado and salad in it. Everyone at our table was disappointed in the meals and barely ate anything and left the cafe hungry. Would have to be up there with the worst meal I have ever paid for.

Really lovely little place right by the beach. It was nice to walk in after spending time with the dogs on a walk. It was a very busy Sunday afternoon and there was a slight delay in receiving my food. Despite being flustered, obviously rushed, and understaffed, the employees managed really well and we're still incredibly friendly and helpful despite the situation they were in.

Highly recommend if you're in the area!

This cafe is simply the best. Reading the negative reviews just makes me SICK. Gena is doing amazing job. Best it's ever been. AAA+++ a very proud customer indeed, why i keep coming back for more. :)

Love this cafe, lovely coastal atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They have a range of tasty GF options available and large outdoor area for the kids. Also pet friendly for those that want to take the dog for a run along the beach

Duno if they have changed hands? They Use to be good but in the last several months the last 3 times we have been here it seems to have gone down hill. Sunday after 1pm about half full. 25 min for drinks( cold drinks too) 50 min for meals. The outdoor area has gotten shabby, kids area is dirty, garden needs attention. Tables weren't even been wiped down for next patrons. Meals are expensive!! Which I have no problem paying for if there good but well they aren't! Kids meal $15 for a handful of chips and 6 scorched chicken nuggets( if they are chicken? Looked like a starch cave on the inside(cheap crap) waffles were dry and rubbery with scoops of rasp jam all over it over powering any maple that may have been on it. Big breakfast was average at best. The staff lacked cohesion and were bickering a lot. If it was the manager I saw ordering everyone around he was totally unprofessional calling out another guy to explain his mistakes to one table in front of everyone. We've since talked to many since who have agreed. What a shame pick it up beach cafe!
