Clean, quiet and spacious room (room 1) and a good cooked breakfast. Staff were friendly and efficient. Whilst the motel is good for staying, there is limited food options if you don't like takeaways. The Vietnamese restaurant (called "try it vietnamese") is good but not much else around there. Convenient to the airport 15 -20 mins and motorway north or south.

Our reception was terrible. The man at the front desk was rude and not welcoming at all. The room itself was clean and okay. The area was loud. Probably will not go back and unlikely to recommend to others.

540 great south road Auckland. Nothing flash for the price I expected more. Microwave switched off - it is double switched and I thought I would have been told about that. Is very quiet tho and guess that's something

"HORRIFIC STAY " We had booked the room for our bridal party to get ready well where should i start being charged $180 for loosing a key, at motel 540 which we had actually lost "inside" the room . And than bringing it up with the manager whos name is also john , telling me i quote "TO SHUT MY MOUTH YOUS ARE THE *beep beep* THIEVES THAT STOLE THE KEY" i find this so unprofesional and upsetting . Never have i come accross this kind of customer service so rude and absolutely disgusting especially speaking like that to a female (ansley) didnt even shout at him once and and kept cool and yet his mouth was yapping like no tomorrow. How can you be charged $180 for a replacement key ? And than him blaming us for steeling the key . This is so unfair .. im facinated to see why john thinks we would we steel a key ? And really what the 180 went too . What could of been a good night turned into a nightmare . Good luck to who ever books and stays in this hotel !!!! So pissed off right now !

Stayed here, arranged and paid for by airline, when flight to Wellington was rerouted to Auckland due to weather. Put me in a room with a queen bed and two twins—relatively large room. Seems well kept, but the age of the hotel is evident. Room is keyed with metal keys. No chain on door.
Main road just outside the window, so if I hadn't arrived at 3am the traffic noise would have been bothersome.
Brought breakfast in the morning (milk/cornflakes, yogurt, bread/jam, and large glass of apple juice).
Internet is $3/5mins, or $8 per day, so didn't bother.response / report this review -

Wonderful awesome - decor is as good as the bigger better hotels great proximity to everything easy to drive out of property none of the traffic buildup! that is typical of Auckland well placed and well done😀👍
