Great place right by the water and ferry terminal. Very good food as well.
Great service and historic atmosphere.
Charming hotel with spectacular views
Excellent food and friendly extremely helpful staff. A must.
Great lunch & coffee afterwards!
Beautiful views and friendly staff!
The best in our stay in Norway. Great dinner has to be done for the best experience!
Then oldest hotel in Norway with 300 years of history and still run within the family. A great story and heritage makes the hotel very special.
We stayed in the Superior Room which is the slightly more modern (80s-ish) styled decor. Clean, comfortable and very functional. Deliverately no TV, and says so in the guests guidebook - so as to enjoy the natural beauty of the place Which is has in spades.
Overlooking a fjord with a jetty, the entire hotel puts you at ease and calm. Super relaxing.
Breakfast is very good with a wide range of local produce.
I hear great reviews of the dinner, but we didn't have the time and the price was quote steep.
Getting supplies/food can be a bit of challenge with the nearest town some 20mjns drive away.
The service was also impeccable and super friendly and accommodating.
A very special experience.
The Walker is in the quant town of Solvorn and has a fantastic view.
We had a dinner here and it was both delicious and fun. We met the owner, who talked to us and told us about its history. All in all a very good experience.
The location is beautiful as well, a lovely small city in the fjords of Norway.
Hotel Walaker is a magical place with deep historic roots. The rooms are tastefully decorated with comfortable antiques and the service is beyond excellent. Our dinner was by far the best meal we had in Norway. My favorite part of our stay was a tour of the gallery with the 10th generation owner/manager that was accompanied by a history of the hotel and the area.
Make sure to take the Aurlandsfjellet Tourist Route if you're driving from Bergen- incredible views.
