A classic -and a "must" if you are a tourist looking for some local place to eat.- Tip: ask for a fried egg in the top of the "Lorry Special", making it even more special ;-)

Very interesting inside decor, maybe too macabre if you are a vegetarian. But the food was .. okay! Maybe I'm too spoilt. Service was great!

This is a great place to come for traditional Norwegian food. It's also a fun place to come eat or drink with friends. Their outdoor seating faces out towards Bogstadveien and has plenty of space. The waiters have a ton of work so they can be a little stressed but I don't blame them! 2 floors and an outdoor area makes for a lot of traffic!
I have always been happy with the food here. The warm meals are especially great, and I love their chèvre salad. Traditional and hearty meals, normally with large portions. Their Norwegian Christmas food is really good! Drink selection is great. 225 different beers on the menu!
Tons of antique decorations indoors! Almost like a little gallery 😄

What I appreciate most is that they continue to serve a mini menu of sandwiches, fish & chips and burgers between 23:30-02:30 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday! Perfect during/after a night out!
For their regular menu, your best bet is to order by 23 (23:15 latest).

Good atmosphere, great beer selection, good food for price. It is also a nice place to go just for drinks and chat with a lovely outdoors terrace. It's quite unique in Oslo and a city landmark. I will definitely go there again. If I had to point out anything is the watering that can be a bit snobbish at times - probably long work shifts

Great place with cool interior and very nice terrace on the street. Feels french in style, but kitchen is good Scandinavian/European food. I had reindeer burgers and the day after grilled trout. Very friendly and relaxed staff. Much appreciated and recommended.

Good service, great food, friendly staff! Ask for the menu in Norwegian to see full list of local beers. Shared starter Carpaccio and main Catfish, which were delicious! Awesome interior.

Great beer selection, warm fireplace, and they still serve authentic national dishes.

I was very cold and craving some wholesome food to warm me up. Telly happy that I found this spot. Had the pulled pork burger and the amazing apple pie dessert.

3.5 stars would be probably more fair. Nice atmosphere inside, maybe a bit too loaded.
Food was ok (club sandwich and goat salad) but nothing to call home about.
    Great choice of beers
