Stayed here for one night in Amsterdam. Excellent location in the heart of the city. Clean and very pleasant and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast was ok nothing to shout about but would stay there again

Very expensive to stay. Carpet was so badly stained we would not go bare footed when walking on the carpet. Loud and roudy people yelling all night passing by hotel and some were as loud when going to their room.

Only positive was the location itself.
Rude personnel during check-in and the rooms are a joke to say the least. Will never stay in this hotel again and will do my best to warn others.
We had 2 rooms for us and our grown kids. Our son had bedbug bites all over him upon waking up.
I had extreme airway problems after running the air conditioning. Upon investigating, I found the filters to be all clogged up and moldy. This is by far the worst hotel we ever stayed in and we'll never make that mistake again.response / report this review -

Great location and room was clean. Right in the centre of amsterdam and within walking distance to most attractions. Room was spotless and had a kettle with tea and coffee. Would definitely stay there again.

Must have been a bad room but below is a list,
Birds trying to fly into the room when window was open have to open windows as stuffy.
Situated right next to church so bells going off since 7 in morning every 30 mins no chance of sleeping
Shower is poor was best off using the canal, hardly any water comes out.
Tv was poor
Staff was friendly so no complaints on that side.

The elevator was not working, so I had to move my two 20 kg carriers through the steep and narrow stairs. The floor of the bathroom was full of water after taking shower and the room was very small. But wifi was rather good and the location is great!

Tiny room, 2 single beds rather than the double we asked for, tough access thru a maze of stairs, tight corridors and doors, and no easy access to an elevator since 1 of the 2 were broken. Everytime we use the shower, the entire bathroom gets flooded. Great location.

Great location, offers all basic services and friendly, helpful staff. Some rooms can be quite noisy, especially those facing the church and the Damrak or those with windows on the streets at ground level. Would happily stay at the Tulip again.

The location is perfect and almost everywhere you go is walking distance . Best to get day passes for the tram if you're staying in this hotel. But the downside is the room looks a bit old like the 90's and it is quite noisy here at night as you can hear people walking behind your room and talking

Cannot fault this hotel. Had an amazing stay. Room was really clean and loved the convienience of being able to leave our luggage in a room before check in time. Would definately reccommend!
