The hotel is in decent shape and clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are decent but everything is just a little worn. My main issue was that this property is right on a main thoroughfare with a busy side street so the honking and car alarms are constant. There are also a few bars and clubs nearby and their music penetrates the hotel pretty significantly. Just as a heads up the parking lot is to the north of the building and you're better off just going and putting your car there to begin with versus driving up to the door for check-in and then having to spend 15 minutes trying to get back around to the parking lot due to the busy main road.

The hotel is nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast was very tasty with lots of Nica options like gallo pinto, plantains, etc. It's a nice stay for a moderate price.

Accommodations are basic. It's not a shack so guess you have to keep things in perspective. I was invited as a guest of a company so I did not pay for this hotel nor would I have.

This is my first time in Managua so I don't have a frame of reference in regards to other hotels in the city just other hotels in general that I've stayed in during my travels.

Little things like the mattress showing (sheets are clearly too small), and the poorly plastered wall as well as the motel-style bathroom are not my cup of tea.

Keep in mind that my review is based off of my own personal travel style which would be considered more refined. If you're a backpacker or are good with 2-3 star hotels (US ratings) then this hotel may be fine for you.

I haven't tried the food so I can't speak on that. Looking at the menu, pricing from food offered here is a bit high, like Marriott hotel prices, so not sure about that disconnect. Maybe the food is THAT fantastic!

The artwork near the elevators is interesting and makes me want to ask questions about the country's history. I appreciated my complimentary bottle of water in the room.

Seminole Plaza is not the most impressive hotel if you compare it internationally. But for Managua it is a good hotel, great service personnel, clean, and in a great location. Other services, rent a car on site, tour availability, great breakfast, shuttle to airport, and walking distance to a lot of food and entertainment made my stay in this hotel a very pleasant experience worth repeating.

In the heart of Managua. Has a pool and a gym but the rooms are a bit dated. Poor service from bar during events with prices jacked up.

hotel is just ok, rooms are kind of run down, old furniture. Breakfast buffet is the best part of this hotel, with nice assortment of food and some traditional nicaraguan food as gallo pinto and queso frito. I was granted by management a discount, reason why I didnt book thru web. not only discount was denied at check out, but front desk agent show me a bill of 158 dollars for two nights and I was charged 189 then. a complete rip off.
