The personnel in here is good, but the services are not good enough, the internet don't reach the last floor, is kinda tiring to climb up those stairs, the rooms are not well ventilated and the bedrooms are not really comfy, it could improve.

Love this place. Its important to know that this consists of two buildings opposite each other on Republica de Brasil. Most people stay on one side, in the dorms, and tale breakfast there. For a better communal space and an awesome large rooftop terrace, go across the street. You'll only sleep on this side if you have a private suite, but the communal areas are open to everyone.

Wifi is spotty at best, unfortunately this is a major downside to many travelers.

Laundry service is very prompt and efficient.

Overall, I recommend Mexico City Hostel to my friends regularly.

    Great place for small budget.
Clean quiet situated in the city center.
Cold beers for 2$ at the reception. Just amazing.

A place really cool, the location is excellent, in the downtown near to the cathedral. The service was great and kind, the indoors are great with cold & hot water, the breakfast was good. It's a good place to stay.

Can't beat the location right next to the Cathedral and Main Square. Breakfast is alright with eggs, yogurt, fruit, bread and coffee. Facilities are pretty good with big storage lockers and plenty of bathrooms/showers. Atmosphere was a bit lacking though. I was in the new annex across the street which I've heard is a bit better.

Hostel is established in an old home. Very charming but all the dorm/room windows lead to a communal colonial-style central patio, which means you can hear EVERYTHING. Apparently there is a club next door, so you can hear loud music late into the night, and with that a lot of young people who might have had one drink too many stumble into the hostel. Beds aren't all that great, seems like I slept on a wooden plank instead of mattress. Some lockers might be broken, I had to switch my bag once a non-broken became available. Bathrooms are good to shower, but do not expect for them to be modern (nor as clean as your own home).
You get what you pay for. I will try elsewhere next time :)

have to use a lighter or matches to light the pilot light in the oven. sleazy, old men live at the hostel. sleazy staff. male staff made a comment about my look/appearance. not a comfortable environment for solo female travelers. people smoking on the open balconies and you can smell it in the room and common areas. cinthya barrera's (general manager) response to my review was "lol"

Decent hostel in a super convenient area. Clean, pretty quiet. 3 stars bc didn't have water one morning, because the shower heads were not effective and it was difficult to wash off soap with its stream. And because the light broke on my first night there. At the address Brazil 8 they don't have electric keys, at the address at Brazil 11, they have electronic keys.

Good hostel. Safe and clean. Unfortunately there was music bumping every night next door and our fan didn't work.

I stayed at the hostel for 3 nights. Its really a no-frills, simple place to stay, providing you with a decent bed, sheets and a blanket, a locker, as well as showers and a simple breakfast in the morning. The lobby receptionist also sells items like locks, beer, and even provides money exchange services should you need to change USD or Euro into Pesos. It is a great place to stay as you can chill with friends, yet still be able to sleep should you want to as they have a policy of no noise after midnight. However, for the time that i was there, the Wifi was not working, which used up quite a bit of my limited data plan. Breakfast is pretty mediocre as well, but overall its a good place to stay!

A wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Mexico City. Clean, cozy, organized. You can have breakfast from 8 to 10 for free.

Clean, cheap, and reasonably quiet. Everything you'd want from a hostel. Less tours and info than I've seen at other hostels though.
