The vegetarian options are limited but the items available are fresh and delicious. There is a shop connected to the restaurant and a although the sign said Open, the door was locked so unfortunately we were not able to check it out. Try the Oaxaca tequila queso and tamarind margarita!
Lovely restaurant to enjoy different Mexican cuisine from different area. They also have self made tequila and lots of cocktail choices. Personally I don’t really like the taste of cocktail, but the food itself are great. Price are really close to American standard.
The ambiance here is perfect. It feels like old town Mexico. The service was fine, but nothing to write home about. We enjoyed the food, although there are places with better cuisine. It's good overall, lead by the ambiance, then the food, and finally the service. I'd give it 3.5 stars overall.
Best Guacamole that's we've had in Cancun so far! Made fresh at the table. We've ordered two orders both occasions to this restaurant this trip. We were able to order "skinny" margaritas here. The food is very good. The service is impeccable! If you have time, check out the gift shop. They have beautiful Mexican artisan painted souvenirs, and the prices are less expensive than the flea markets. We enjoyed our experiences here every time.
We enjoyed our lunch on the deck facing the bay. It was quiet when they opened for lunch at 1pm. My five stars are for the friendly, attentive service and the outstanding chicken kabob. It was the best meal I had in Cancun! We even saw an alligator sunbathing down by the boats.
Simply put, the best authentic Mexican food we've found. Prices are higher than other restaurants, BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT. The drinks are not watered down, and the margaritas with 100 year old tequilla are awesome.
Great Food and Great Service. We celebrated a birthday at the Destileria and the service was exceptional. The food was delicious as well. I am happy that they were able to meet our expectations, as we do not eat meat or any animal derivative food. Overall great experience.
Mediocre and overpriced food at best. Had a flambé steak prepared at the table which they coated in sauces out of supermarket bottles, along with some MSG as an added touch. The way the steak was prepared meant that we got covered in the cooking smoke and my SO is quite peculiar about these things and wasn't happy at all. As we weren't particularly impressed with our meal or the service, we didn't leave any tip and the waiter chased after us on our way out asking for a tip. Seriously? Don't waste your time with this place.
Delicious margarita to start. Outside it says that they have 130 different kinds of tequila . The service was fast and the food was delicious . I had chicken mole which was fabulous. My daughter had skirt steak tacos which she loved. And my husband had a dish I can't remember the name of but it included cactus and he enjoyed it immensely . The service was gracious and fast. I highly recommend it and we will probably go back before our time is up here in Cancun .
I have been to this establishment about 6 years ago, plus many prior. My husband and I came to Cancun for our honeymoon. We stayed at live aqua, all inclusive. While my husband didn't want to eat outside of our resort, I said this was a must place to visit/eat. WRONG IDEA on my part. The food, services, and drinks were not anything like I had remembered. After voicing my concerns we were offered free dessert and 2 shots of tequila. Very nice on behalf of the manager and team, however did not make up for the experience I was looking forward to. Don't waste your time and money here.
You can't come here and order fajitas or tacos or burrito and then expect to say that's its not authentic. This is a gamble for the pallete. You have to be adventurous and order entrees that would never be found else where. Fresh sea food fresh meats. And great tequilas. Cigars as well.
Great Yucatan Mexican food. Service was excellent. Outdoor dining overlooking the water. Requisite mariachi band. Not intimate but energetic and fun.
We went here for my boyfriends birthday dinner while in Cancun. We were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant and that is exactly what we found. The food/atmosphere/service was great. Everyone was extremely friendly. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful dinner at a good price!!!
Had a relaxing delicious al fresco Sunday brunch, lagoon side today. The tacos, fish and ceviche were spot on but the highlight was definitely the ceviche, shrimp and octopus with a hint of something sweet served with corn crackers. Possibly the best ceviche I've ever had. And to top it off, the service was flawless, not fussy but attentive and friendly.
Good food and service with a great view of the lagoon. . Has both indoor and outdoor seating and a nice selection of tequilas for sale.
Terrific food, a fun atmosphere, and incredibly helpful staff. We needed wheelchair access, and a gentleman brought out a mobile ramp to help us get situated at the best table possible. The molcajete were highly recommended and absolutely worth trying, as were the signature tequila drinks.
Just ok. Reviews seem out of line. Staff reviews? Food mediocre. Atmosphere somewhat lacking. Had a clue on the way in as we passed the 'gift shop' Then noticed it's JUST Americans eating here Sent steak back.
The food and service here were very good. Get the molcajetes - a sizzling stone bowl with a variety of toppings, kind of like fajitas. It's obviously geared toward the tourist crowd (it's the hotel zone) but we didn't feel like it was too touristy. The view over the lagoon while the sun sets is a nice touch!
