The only downside is that it is located approx 10mins away from beach. Everything else is good rooms are big, clean and well designed

Basic, no frills room. Very helpful staff. Weak, intermittent internet. Alcohol not allowed on property. Many eateries nearby.

Spacious rooms, trying treir best to keep them clean, kind personel. But hotel is located near some kind of collecting center which is working all night and making noise, so noise wouldn’t let you have decent sleep if your room is facing the street

Bathroom fixtures can be improved for better enjoyment. The sink faucets are oversized for the sinks and could cause safety hazards. The toilets are rather dated and ergonomically not for proper use. They move and rock and are unstable , the refilling of the water tanks take too long and the flushing mechanisms are refurbished, " not a proper function". The shower heads spray everywhere but your body. This is loss of water to the outside and causing longer showers, the hot water controls are reversed as well as the cold , this makes for longer waits and uneccessary water consumption. If these items were attended to, it would make guest stays more pleasurable and more return business. Ratings would increase towards more of a positive feedback.I have stayed at Hotel Plaza Playa for many years , the staff is always great to me, Hotel Plaza Playa has become my second home away from home over the years. I have noticed some changes however these mechanics do not add to a more enjoyable stay With Kindest Regards and Best Wishes moving forward ..

Well spotted hotel. Plenty of afordables restaurants at less than 5 minutes walk. Not too far from the Quinta nor the beach. Intermittent Internet WiFi in the room while working perfectly in the lobby area. Can't get warm water from in the shower (it's either cold or hot).

Very clean! Simple hotel with your basic amenities. 15 minutes from the beach. Wi-Fi service was not very good. You had to move out of the room to get any Wi-Fi. Breakfast was ehh nothing special. Overall good hotel

Pretty decent hotel if you're not looking for good views and such. Location is within 5 minutes from the downtown and has a good amount of parking spaces. Hotel room space is typical. It was interesting how they didn't provide a hair dryer, so be prepared to bring your own if you need one.

Rooms are well kept and have very nice bathrooms. Staff is polite and the price is right, but the location is not ideal. About 6 blocks from the main area of Playa del Carmen.
