Nice hotel, cheap, clean. Pillows too hard for me, but it's ok
Nice hotel from 1920, three bloks to zócalo
You really get what you pay for with this one Got it for around $22 a night and boy does it show. Yes its decent in the lobby, but when i got there the elevator didnt work, doors have weak locks, there's no A/C or heaters, window open all day even though it has bars still seems unsafe. Bathroom is small and has no floor divider between the shower and the rest of the room. Floors are old and squeaky, bed was hard and barely sleepable, sheets were old and showed, even had some stains There was also not enough electric outlets for two people which was frustrating. Overall, don't expect comforts for what you're paying, its better than most hostels if you want privacy or if you HAVE to be close to centro historico and have a very tight budget. Otherwise skip it.
Though I've stayed here a couple of times 10 and 25 years ago, I always had access to a room with a window that opened out to the street. It's a funky old place with a great central courtyard. Rooms didn't have a great deal but always had a freestanding wardrobe and some type of chair and desk. This time my wife and I ended up in a smaller room with no window to the outside, no chair, no desk, no wardrobe, and the place had a lingering odor of boiled cabbage. I tried to get another room but could not. Probably won't be back as there are a number of hotels with less funk but better accommodations for the same price or cheaper in the area.
The Chilliquelies is to die for. You could have either egg or chicken, I asked for both. Just a little bit spicy. So good! And prices right.
Location and service is great, but it's not the cleanest or nicest place.
Can't beat cheap price, gorgeous Old World charm & central location!
I neither rest nor sleep. So much noise from street, horrible beds, coarse staff, I had to carry my luggage because the elevator was so small and always busy. DON´T TRY TO SAVE MONEY. HORRIBLE HOTEL
The service from the waiter was really good, he was polite and efficent, the food is nice, good taste, well sized portions
It's safe and clean. They have several rooms with a shared bathroom. They do charge more for two guests than one.
Nice hotel. Very central location for tourists, friendly staff, lively bar. The downside of the central location is noise, and the restaurant is mediocre.
It's a basic hotel, with the basic amenities. Staff is friendly and efficient. Rooms quaint and clean. Affordable!
Nice service. They provided a quick service.
If you like centro histórico its a good place to stay.
Very good hotel. Right in the middle of everything. You cannot beat the price . I was charges 540 pesos for a three bed room.
A hotel in downtown México City wich provides a different point of view of the city being in a highly comercial área, not for the regular tourist but a must be for the ones who wants a more authentic experience, good value for your money and excellent food.
Had a wonderful stay here, stayed at the top floor! Rooms are clean, friendly staff, easygoing ambience
I would go back to this place. It's so cheap. Very cool location. No I felt safe at all times outside in the streets around this hotel. I requested a balcony and when one came available they moved me to a room with a balcony. Very simple place as far as amenities. Only a few blocks to get on the train. There's a bus that goes straight to the airport from right outside. Friendly customer service. Clean place. Very antique building.
