Agent lied and told me that supplemental liability insurance ($13/day) was required by law. I bought it and later learned this is not true - rental car companies are required to include all mandatory insurance in the original price. Avoid this place, and if you do has the misfortune of renting there know that their claims about the insurance are not true.

Do not expect Hertz service. The office is run by extortionist. They claim to not have cars that you have a reservation for. Then offer much more expensive option for cars they have. And being a gold member makes zero difference. I was in line with over 50 people who also had reservations and did not get cars either. I will never rent from Hertz again. Lost a day of my trip to these people.

Totally ripped off- i booked online and calculated everything including full insurance and deposit but when i got there they just said no. The final price was several hundred more. DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL AGENCY. There are plenty of alternatives around. I ended up going with Europcar which was cheaper than my initial Hertz reservation AND it was a better car.

A bunch of fraudulent liars. Stay away from them!
They told us a price in dollars, then took us to their office a few minutes away from the airport. They told us one price for "full coverage", then we found out it doesn't contain mandatory 3rd party liability of another 13usd a day, then there is a 4.5% addition if you pay by credit card but they dont take cash, then it turns out they charge in pesos and not dollars but with an exchange rate they determined is 21.4 (about 16% higher than the actual rate). All in all, it adds up to about twice the agreed sum.
We cancelled the payment and demanded they take us back to the airport, which they stalled and delayed, possibly to make us miss the last bus, until we were practically screaming at them. All the while they were making up stupid stories and justifications, while 6 employees were hanging around doing nothing.
Eventually we ended up renting from Avis in Cabo San Lucas, who were completely transparent and honest as you might expect from an international company - look up their decent google reviews.response / report this review -

Basura, ladrones, gentuza, ni se les ocurra alquilar un auto con ellos, les estafarán con los seguros, y luego les cobrarán más por algún daño que se inventen, vayan a CACTUS economy, es la mejor compañía en el aeropuerto

When I picked up the car, in spite of dire warnings about my liability, I declined the various insurance options that would have doubled the quoted rental rate. On return, the attendant gave the car a very, very thorough inspection until, sure enough, he found a nickel size blister on the sidewall of one tire. They shook me down for another $115. I argued against the charge to no avail. Shuttle was waiting. I was livid. I can't believe Hertz Corp lends their name to this.

Es el peor coche que me han rentado, tenia ruidos por todos lados, y en carretera se sentia muy inestable. Deberian de retirar estoa coches que estan en tan malas condiciones.

My booking was for $48.14 which included some insurance. I always expect it to be more, but this year it was ridiculous. $198 was the charge on my Amex. They set the cost at $166 and then converted it to pesos at an unreasonable exchange rate of 21.2504pesos to 1USD. Then charged my amex in pesos which converted to $198 at the real pesos to dollars exchange rate of approx 18pesos to 1USD.
I complained in the survey that they emailed me and they offered me one free rental day next time which is basically worthless because the "day rate" is only $7.75. We rent twice a year from hertz and this is by far the worst they have inflated the charges. I assume they all work like this, but we'll probably try a new car rental in the fall.response / report this review -

Do not rent from them they take advantage of you and lie about their quotes. I was quoted 260 and was charged 301.83 on my credit card. I had requested the amount in dollars and they guy did it in pesos anyway. I keep calling the number they provided me and guess what? It says I have the wrong number or keep on ringing. Such a rip off!

Es una empresa nefasta cero recomendable, con un personal mediocre de verdad tengan mucho cuidado si es que van a rentar en esta empresa , revisen bien los terminos del seguro y el coche al salir .

Los autos están muy bien y a buen precio, pero el personal que atiende de tras del mostrador es apático, no me dejaron abonar puntos payback y tampoco cambiar mi forma de pago, sin embargo el personal del taller y del shuttle es muy amable.
