Car rental went well. However we did not use the WiFi in the car. When turning the car in the salesman tried to switch the wifi device and charge me for wifi that I didn't use. Keep the serial number of your device. Be careful of deceit.

They don't try to screw you. Price you pay online is what you get. When you return the car they don't try to give you phony "damages". No "insurance" scams. Highly recommend for zero drama vaca

My wife and I recently travelled to Cabo with our two daughters. We reserved and rented a vehicle from Avis. We brought both of the car seats and were offered a vehicle (Chevy Cruz) that was able to physically accommodate both car seats. The issue started when we attempted to secure the car seats and the shoulder belt for the vehicle would not lock when the belt was pulled all of the way out of the retractor. This was a shock to my wife and I as we've never had this issue before when using dozens and dozens of different types of vehicles. We asked the sales agent for assistance, either through a car manual or internet access to look up the car manual. They did not have a car manual, but we were able to use his phone to find the Chevy Cruz car manual. The manual showed we were doing everything correct to set the lock on the shoulder belt. The sales agent suggested we "tie" the should belt to an anchor. (I probably would have been okay with this, but my wife was having none of it.) Due to a lack of available vehicles, the only vehicle left to accommodate our car seats and whose shoulder belt worked properly required an upgrade. Having spent over an hour trying to get the situation worked out, I was not about to haggle over the cost of the upgrade.

In addition to being unable to resolve the issue of their vehicle's shoulder belt not functioning properly, Avis refused to reimburse me for the cost of the upgrade after we returned. We took videos of the vehicle shoulder belt not working and sent them along with the Chevy Cruz car manual to show Avis that the vehicle was not functioning properly. They have assured me that all vehicles work properly and, therefore, they cannot refund the $167 upgrade cost that we had to pay to get a properly functioning vehicle. After over two months of emailing and providing data, they closed our case.

At this point, it's not about the money but the principle of the matter. Avis refused to address the issue of not being able to deliver a functioning vehicle. They claimed the vehicle was too small for our car seats (it was not), that we wanted a new vehicle (only because no one, including their sales agent, was able to get the seatbelt to function properly), and subsequently that all of their vehicles are in good working order now and therefore we do not deserve a refund (essentially ignoring our concern).

In summary, the sales agent was nice, the place was clean, the logistics of getting to/from the airport were seamless. But this is the last time I will ever give my money to a company that does not consider the safety concerns of its customers and puts a few dollars (out of the +$700 cost) first.
