I rarely ever give poor reviews, but I have no guilt about this one. You have many transportation options in Cabo so I’d stay away from these guys. The wait at the airport, lack of communication, and broken promises were exhausting especially when it’s a spouse and two children. It’s not like they’re any less expensive either. We’ll take Cabo Trans, Trans Cabo, or just a taxi next time.
Terrible experience today. Gray Line insisted on picking us up at our hotel at 8:15 am for an 11:50 am flight. Travel to the airport was 30 minutes with no traffic. At the airport, we were the only people passing through security, which took 30 seconds. Completely inconvenient. Most everyone who has been to Cabo recently knows that due to the drug related killings, tourism has slowed. Also, this is a slow period anyway as it is about 2 weeks until Christmas.
We pleaded with Gray Line to pick us up at our hotel at 9:30 or 9:45 am, but they refused. We checked with all of the other riders in the van on the way to the airpirt. All had flights at 11:50 am or later. Obviously, the super early trip to the airport was convenient for Gray Line an no one else.
So here we sit at a nearly empty Los Cabos Airport for the next 3 hours until our flight. Although we have not seen any tumbling tumbleweed yet, we fully expect some to roll by any minute now. We are bored. Forced to kill time writing this review, we much would have preferred to sleep in this morning or hang out at the beach at our hotel.
Thanks for nothing Gray Line. Won't be using your "service" again.
Hugly place
Worst service in los cabos, we were on time but the driver didn't pick up us, the costumer service dept answer was rude. We had to pay extra for a cab in order to be in time at the airport and didn't receive a refund from grayline. Don't use this service.
excellent option for sightseeing in cabo !!
Terrible service and will have you waiting around forever for shuttle! Dont waste your time better off going with their company. When you call to complain don't expect any help from customer service either.
We waited over an hour for our shuttle because the driver was "stuck in traffic." However, at least 50 other people's shuttles didn't seem to be having traffic problems. Our friends arrived 1hour after us and got to the hotel (that's 40mins away) before ussooo we definitely should have gotten the shuttle upon arrival.
Not very helpful considering how much we had to pay for there serviceif possible I would give them less than one star
Exelente
Awful. My husband and I booked our trip to Cabo through Expedia and chose to get the shuttle service to and from the airport. $20 per passenger so $80 total. We had to check into the gray line counter upon arrival at the resort to get our vouchers for our drive back to the airport. There, they looked up our flight and determined what shuttle to give us (they have different times of day for each shuttle). The day we are to check out, the shuttle we had was NOT going to get us to the airport in time even though THEY were the ones who specifically chose the shuttle. They told us we would have get a taxi or use the resort shuttle which is another $40 and refused to give us a refund. We called Expedia the moment we got back to the states and told them about our experience. A few days later I received an email from Expedia customer service that the gray line los cabos customer service manager, Norma Gazga, denied our request for a refund. Unacceptable business. I know it is just $40 dollars, but it is not right to screw up and not pay for it. They will be hearing from us again.
This review is based on my airport RT transportation and deluxe city tour with Greyline in mid-late Jan. I bought those 2 together through one of their reps Ignacio and got a deal (roughly 1/2 off of the RT transportation).
Initially I booked a horseback-riding excursion through them but since there were differences in details (mainly price $99 vs $89 and location-Migrino vs El Encanto) between what Ignacio told me over the phone and on their own website (and Expedia's, their partner), I was hesitant and emailed him asking for more information. After he discussed with his manager, he gave me a day to cancel for a full refund, which I requested and received the next week. I didn't even ask to cancel or for a full refund and it was very generous of them.
On our arrival date, you have to go outside of the airport to meet their reps in lime-green shirts. It was very hard to spot them as there were several other shuttle reps and they were behind those reps. Once we found them, it took awhile to walk over to their shuttles.
The shuttle is very nice and clean but I found the A/C not as strong as I would have liked. It also would be nice if they provided 1 free water bottle per person. Since it was a shared shuttle and our hotel was farther away from the airport, we were one of the last drop-offts (which is to be expected if you look on their website).
On our departure date, the shuttle was about 10-15 min late but we arrive with plenty of time to check-in and go through security screening.
The deluxe city tour was great. Luis was very knowledgeable and friendly. The highlight of the tour was was the glass-bottom boat tour. You can see fish through the glass bottom, sea lions lounging on a large rock, and the beautiful, well-known arch. Lunch was decent and they provided plenty of water on the tour. The tour also consisted of tequila-tasting at a local shop, glass-blowing demonstration (which was very cool!) and a stop at San Jose del Cabo plaza. The SJ del Cabo plaza has a church and a bunch of shops, but not much else.
I thought there was a bit too many stops at souvenir shops, especially a jewelry store. The stop at the jewelry store was totally not necessary and no one in our group bought anything and we spent too much time there.
On their website, it states " you will travel to the past, learning about the missionaries, pirates, indigenous peoples and history of colonization in the area." I really didn't get that vibe at all. Maybe Luis did mention some of that and my attention must have drifted away. I'm not sure if there are museums or any stops along the way to explore the history and indigenous people of the area, but if so, exploring those areas would have been great.
Pros: good tour guide, good service reps, clean shuttles
Cons: website needs to be updated with current prices and exact locations; tour needs to be less about shopping (no jewelry store stop!) and more about the history and culture about the Cabo San Lucas and SJ del Cabo
