Unfortunately the recent storms washed seaweed, daily into the beach, making it unswimable. Smaller resort than others makes everything close and quick to get to, like pool, room, restraunt, etc. Excellent sevice, food, entertainment.

The Italian restaurant in the hotel is the best. The fish and shrimp entree is so delicious!

I loved staying at this resort! We brought the VIP package for the Superbowl, and after it got rained out the resort was very accommodating to making it up to our group! Loved that there was an adult pool AND a separate family pool the adult pool was relaxing and quiet.. although we didn't like that it closed at 6pm. the rooms were nice, food was pretty good compared to other all inclusive resorts I have been to. It was about an hour transport from airport. My husband did the dolphin experience, it was great that was right on sight and loved that I could take my own pictures! overall, i would recommend this resort to my people!

While the staff is very entertaining and friendly, the management sucks. A lot of the things- like fishing and the spa- are overpriced, and they're really short too. The food is okay, but I still wouldn't recommend the place.

Below average and overall disappointing stay.
There are some good points: staff is friendly, no bugs in the room, view from the beach if great. We were able to enjoy most of our days. The nights were quiet, even though our room was adjacent to the family pool.
On the negative side for us (family of 5, past experience of 3 other Riviera Maya trips), resort is too small. With some space invading fellow travellers, as we've been having, it might be difficult to find a quiet spot The food is not more than average, and the buffet lacks variety (wood oven pizza by the beach is good though). The fact that you don't need a reservation for a la carte restaurants is not worth it, if the food is so-so.
Night entertainment is ok, but not extraordinary.
The beach is small with a lot of seaweeds, and even though men are racking it by hand all day, they never get to the end There is a lot of fish visible in the water, which is fun.
We didn't try the excursions, the scuba diving or the dolphin experience.
We were able to walk around Puerto Aventuras, which was nice, but there is really not much to see.
We won't be coming back here for sure, and will continue to choose larger resorts in the future.response / report this review -

The resort is nowhere near the quality of other AM Resorts we have been to. Ithe Resort is small, and pools are small, and no wait staff in the adult only area, one restaurant is closed for maintenance, food is OK. What's funny is as a member to the UVC they want us to do a members update to try and get up to upgrade our membership. Don't see what membership fees pay for here. A disappointing stay. We will. Not be back.

This place is an absolute SCAM! We had just finished an excursion at the pier next to this resort. They had an employee standing by the pier. When members of our group asked if there was a washroom to use, they sent us to the resort. After a quick 5 minute trip to the bathroom, security stopped everyone, threatened to call the cops and requested 4 of them pay $75 day rate. After 30-45 mins of debating, we paid the fee, they refused to provide a receipt, and laughed as they split up the cash among each other.
