Not great but not horrible. Have dove with a few other dive shops in Central America for comparison.
Pros:
-Information provided through email was thorough and responses were quick.
-Dive guide was professional, punctual, and safe.
-Water in Cozumel was crystal clear and amazing.
-Gear was in good condition
Cons:
-High volume operators. We had 6-7 divers per guide. Would recommend walking the streets of Cozumel where there are many dive operators that are not necessarily online. You can dive in much smaller groups with more flexibility with sites to visit for about the same price.
-Tried to get information at the dive shop on possible dive sites and options for different days and basically was met with a blank stare. I understand that dive sites are selected on a day to day basis based on water conditions but I did not feel like what I was looking for was even a remote concern for them. This was a once in a lifetime trip for me and I kind of regret going with this operator and not a smaller company.
-Snacks included water, sweet bread, and bananas. Very average.

We liked it, but we weren't asked to do our safety checks before getting to the water, which is a bit weird. Also, I was feeling unwell the day of our dive so I called early in the morning and was told that I still had to pay for it, and we are on a tight budget. So we end up going, but I think no company should take you in the water off you're not feeling well. Everything else was good.

I felt like I was on a processing line for diving. Not a personal experience due to a large group. The instructors weren’t clear on communication and just didn’t enjoy the experience (other than the dive was awesome). My BCD didn’t have all the vent strings The captain was very rude and wasn’t patient with us getting in the water. In the shop, they were trying to sell me dives that I’m not qualified for as a beginner which made me feel that them making money off me was more important than my safety. My advice is to try and find a smaller shop which can give you a personalized experience that will be fun.

I love this dive shop! Very professional, great well-maintained equipment, and they take you to very fun and beautiful dives. Cozumel is an amazing place to dive, and this shop does a really great job. Paolo is a wonderful dive master!

I've had this shop organize two different vacations, and both have been excellent. They know the island reefs well and have enough business to accommodate requests for specific dive sites. They can also arrange cenote dives on the mainland. The shop is conveniently located downtown, a couple blocks from the pier. Their rental equipment is in acceptable condition.

I haven't been able to find my dive card for years & PADI couldn't locate my records so I took the Open Water Diver course with Raul & he was great. I enjoyed everyone at the shop's assistance. I will definitely return.

I booked 2-tank dives and decided to add 2-tank twilight dives with them. During my dives I had 3 different dive guides and all of them were amazing! the dive spot selection was great and they were very attentive, on my last day Lorena, a very nice lady gave me a tip for wide underwater photo and even give me a lift to the fery pier!

I had an amazing dive with them. The 2 tank dive package shows you two different faces of Cozumel's underwater world. Paulo was a great dive master with whom you can feel safe under the water. They are happy to share the photos with you after the dive without any charges.

What a great dive experience! They picked us up by boat from our hotel and it was a quick ride to the reef. Pavlo was our dive master and he was fun and knowledgeable about the area. He took us on great dives that matched what I asked to see. I will be back to dive again soon!

Just returned from my first diving trip in Cozumel. I rarely write reviews, but after my experience with Blue Ocean, I was compelled to share my experience. From the first time I emailed the shop months ago through my experience with them on the island, the entire experience was nothing short of world-class. Everyone in the shop was helpful, knowledgeable and flexible. The boat picked me up from the dock promptly every morning at the scheduled time. Our Dive Master Alan was incredible. His briefings, knowledge, assistance and reef selections made the experience so much more relaxing and enjoyable. During each dive, he made sure that we saw as many sea creatures as possible and carefully monitored everyone's air and weights. At one point, our group was in three different layers of ascent because of air usage and he handled it masterfully: making sure that those who were running low went up and those who had conserved air could stay down longer all while drifting in a very fast current. I will go back to Cozumel and I will dive again with Alan and Deep Blue just not soon enough.

I did my open water certification at deep blue and it was terrific. I was a little anxious having had a bad experience with a scuba course as a child but wanted to dive in Cozumel and therefore needed to get over this.
Paulo (my instructor) made me feel very safe and was very patient. I felt like I was learning very useful information all the time and had a lot of fun in the process.
The theory part of the course is done at the office. Once that's done we headed to the beach and started to do the skills. The beach was lovely and already after getting used to the equipment I was seeing some cool fish and enjoying the time underneath the water. Even the more difficult skills (like taking off your mask underwater) were enjoyable and I felt Paulo always had the situation under control.
At the end of the course you get 2 proper dives as a certified diver! The dives were incredible and I am very fortunate to have such a great start to my diving career.

My son and I went diving with Pascale & Adrian on 2 separate days. These dive masters are top notch and we had a wonderful experience. Adrian has been diving on these reefs for 20 years and used my son's Go Pro Hero 5 Black to record video of us on each dive. We couldn't have been happier with Deep Blue. Highly recommended and will be back again next year.

This is my first ever Google Review so as you can imagine, this was either a really good or really bad trip!
We just returned from our first scuba experience last week with Deep Blue. One of our good friends recommended that we make our first attempt at diving during our cruise ship stop last week. He referred Deep Blue to us after he and his wife made their first ever dives with them last May and loved every second of it! I was really impressed with the detailed emailed responses that I received from the operators of Deep Blue prior to booking and especially impressed with our dive instructor, Sandro. He was amazing. He spoke perfect English and was not in a hurry. We most importantly felt safe, and had an amazing time with him during our introductory resort dive and following single tank dive. We just got home Saturday and I have already been searching for flights to get back down!response / report this review -

Simply all dive masters and boat crew are awesome. Good briefings, professional team, humour and really try to make you see as much as there is under water. They go to amazing dive sites! However, I'd rather pay $2 more per dive for all dives than $10 extra for one special further-out dive site Scheduling went a little chaotic now and then, but overall a great experience with this dive shop!
