The service was excellent and my Hog Snapper was delicious. Gail ordered the largest lobster they had and was unable to eat it all. They're a bit pricey but all in all it was a good experience. Gail likes the lobster at El Muelle better.
My son had the lobster pasta and I had the rosarito style lobster, they were both excellent. We started with the calamari and it too was excellent. However, the best part of our experience was the terrific wait staff, which is not the norm for restaurants in Mexico.
This restaurant was excellent and the best seafood I had on my trip to Cancun/Playa. The servers were excellent and very attentive. She also seemed very lively and was happy to answer any questions we had about the menu, something you don't come by too often in the busy tourist area.
The food itself was amazing and the presentation was breathtaking.
There is no doubt why this place is rated as the best seafood restaurant on TripAdvisor.
The restaurant was very nice and the food was excellent. I wish I would have purchased a whole lobster versus the surf and turf which only gives you a very little lobster. The wait staff was excellent and very friendly I would definitely recommend eating there. Prices on the medium to high end.
I'm writing this review from the plane getting ready to take off to go back home to Minnesota. My wife and I were in the Playa Del Carmen area for a wedding, and on our last full day, we snuck off the resort to get a different experience, and headed into the city. We were told by some other tourists to go to a couple of the more visible and popular places on the strip, but we wanted a more intimate and quiet dining experience. We found the Blue Lobster just off the beaten path, and we are so glad we did. We happened upon it only because it was one of the few places we didn't feel pressured to go into. For lunch, we had the best guacamole, and they made it without onions for me. We also had lobster risotto and a daily lobster special. We left in full agreement that it was easily the best Mexican meal we'd had in our 6 Mexican vacations, and was also perhaps one of the best meals we've ever had anywhere. We even went back for dinner a few hours later and ordered the same thing and added a filet mignon, and it was again amazing! The service was fast and friendly and attentive, although the servers didn't hover or make our experience about them, which we appreciated a lot. The price was more than fair, and we highly recommend this place. The only negative is that the bathroom is up a long flight of stairs, and that's only a negative for me because my wife's foot is bad and she doesn't do stairs well. This place is a 10+.
Good prices and decent food. Overall the steak I got was fairly good but the veggies were under cooked.
I had rib eye and lobster it was delicious . Not crazy prices for what you get an it was me and my girlfriends favorite meal over the 10 days we were in playa del Carmen. Highly recommend!
We have come here for 6 years, never had a bad experience. The food is terrific and the people are even better. Marina and Francisco make every meal wonderful.
Overcooked lobster, mediocre calamari. Chimichurri with the bread was the best thing i had. It was all downhill after that. Truly the purgatory of restaurants.
We found this Fantastic restaurant on trip advisor and we are so glad that we decided to visit. We had a calamari and shrimp cocktail for starters both tasted like heaven amd so we had high expectations for our main meals.
We both had the lobster and steak for our mains and both were cooked to sheer perfection.
Can not recommend this restaurant enough and if you miss it then it's your loss.
Fantastic service for our large group of 20. The food was very fresh and delicious! The margaritas were the BEST! You get to pick your own lobster tail and how you want it cooked. It was better than the best steak I have ever had!
Good food and reasonable prices. Had the parrillada, I wish they asked how to cook the steak portion, it was overcooked for my taste2. Great service as well.
All I can say is wow. The staff is phenomenal, so welcoming and dedicated to making your experience memorable. We were treated like kings and queens and it was the best meal I've had so far in Playa del Carmen. I highly recommend the clam chowder and lobster dinners. Everything from the taste to the presentation was complete perfection. Walking 5th ave can be a little overwhelming but once you step inside blue lobster you can truly relax and just enjoy the surroundings and wonderful people waiting on you. I will never forget it :')
excellent service, food tasted great and outstanding value. Glad we found this little gem.
This is our fifth year coming to Playa del Carmen and last evening was our fifth time going to the Blue Lobster. It has become one of our favorite restaurants. The service is always excellent and the ambience is casual and comfortable. My only reservation is that I believe the lobster dinner is becoming somewhat pricey for the area.
This is not Red Lobster! This is a upscale steak and seafood restaurant with great pricing and outstanding service.
I had 20 friends fly in for my birthday and we had dinner here. I brought in a cake from outside and the server accommodated us without a frown. The food was amazing and fresh. Ordering and paying for the food was orderly and smooth. I recommend The Blue Lobster, Playa del Carmen for a upscale lobster dinner at a great price.
This restaurant is located in a gathering place with a complete mall, clubs and other restaurants where the locals and tourists alike hang out at night.
Best experience we've had. A awesome bungalow feel and the biggest Lobster I've ever seen! $100 American for a 14 oz lobster tail ceviche seafood soup and 2 drinks each. It was far better than the resorts food and cheaper. Amazing
I had the lobster pasta and I wasn't impressed with the lack
Of flavor. Okay service, nothing spectacular. DaVino much better all the way around.
