This is a Venezuelan restaurant run by a family. The service is amazing. All the food is w wonderful. I love the passion fruit juice. When you order the national dish they will also add fried eggs on top if you ask.

This probably one of the top 10 best things I've ever tasted. It's simple and fresh. It tastes delicious. The sauces are excellent and add great flavor. The juice is also delicious; freshly juice passion fruit. Next time I come to Quintana Roo, I will go out of my way to visit Playa del Carmen again just to eat here.

The staff is also very friendly each time Ive been. If it's your first visit, they offer a sample of several of their beverages all which are great, but the passion fruit was my favorite.

The restaurants is small, most of the tables are for 2 people with a few that will hold 4. I did see one night where two tables were pushed together for a larger group. I'd recommend a reservation for larger groups. I've come here during off and peak hours. Both have been pretty busy but I haven't had to wait for a table. However while I was eating dinner one night several people people had to wait.

There is a reason this place has hundreds of five star reviews on yelp and is in the high 4s on google. The food was amazing and the prices were fragrant. The service was incredible - they were helpful without being pushy and explained the whole menu in English to us. The empanadas were huge and tasty and served with a cilantro sauce they give you that I am going to have to find the recipe for when I get home.

Excellent service and the food was tasty. Our waiter was really friendly and told us all about the food before we ordered. The food was really good and tasted authentic, they even gave us little tasters of other menu items which was a very nice touch. Most of the menu is gluten free as much of it is traditionally corn based, so this place is awesome for any one that is gluten free. We will definitely be returning for more food!

I visit every time I come to Playa. I love the cheese balls! I always over order, the food is larger portions than most. Everything on the menu is good, I prefer the mixed plate and arepas. Also the passion fruit juice!

Kaxapa is amazing! Had many items on the many which were all fantastic. Not only great food but an excellent atmospheres plus perfect service. The staff are so friendly and attentive.

As several have mentioned, this place is excellent for those with gluten allergies but can be loved by all!

Great service with very tasty food. Absolutely yes to having dinner at Kaxapa Factory. At the beginning you will get a taste of juice and introduction of the menu. Big portions. We tried the rice milk drink and after drinking like 1cm of it we felt quite full.. so careful:). Otherwise We highly recommended!

Fantastic authentic Venezuelan food. It's about two blocks from the main plaza but worth the walk. Great service! If I had had any more time in the city I would've gone back

Limited menu which is simple, but oh so good. The staff is incredibly friendly. The arepas, empanadas, and national Venezuelan dish (large portion!) were flavorful and filling. Great prices, no air conditioning, but several ceiling fans.

We absolutely loved the food here! Can't say enough about it, definitely the best on our trip. Prices were good and the staff was very friendly. I am recommending it to all my friends travelling to PLC. I want to plan another trip just so I can go back!

Definitely worth going there for the food. Everything we tried was delicious. I would give them 5 stars if they served beers or wine and had free wi-fi. I recommend making a reservation if you go at night as you might have to wait to get a table. (Yes, this is how good the food is)
