  Great hike - managed to complete it without a guide. Best advice would be to assess each part of the ascent to your own ability before proceeding. The views are great, however it is a difficult climb to reach the top especially if you are not good with heights.

  Fantastic hike, quite challenging but doable. A guide is unnecessary if you're fit and aware of your abilities. It does get dangerous near the top--stop if you feel uncomfortable and do not attempt in windy or rainy weather. You can go around the fenced off portion of the trail about two-thirds up.

  This was definitely a hike worth doing, but don't be fooled this is an advanced/intermediate hike! The first half of the 3.6 km hike is just simple and easy switchbacks and the second half was an intense scramble.
  
  We made the mistake of not bringing enough water with us which made the hike slightly more dangerous. That being said the view at the top was very picturesque and the hiking trail wasn't overcrowded (BIG PLUS)

  Amazing view from the mountain in top. Can get quite crowded during weekends. Climbers should be very cautious at the top.

  Stunning views from the top. Quite a steep scramble towards the end, but is manageable for average fitness.
  **Note** you need a registered guide to be able to access now as there is a manned gate to enter the last section which has the steep parts to the top. They will not let you through otherwise.

  We spent about 2 hours there, which included the walking up and down at a relatively leisurely pace. Reached the second view point and the views are spectacular.

  Medium difficulty hike to the top by an average fit person. The views are spectacular, and definitely worth all the walking. No entrance fees or additional expenditures, so if you have some free time in Mauritius, then this would be a perfect opportunity to visit one of Mauritius' most rewarding scenery.

  Start early to avoid intense sun and high temperatures. The last third of the trail right now is unsecured and ropes have been taken off. It is still possible to reach the top but avoid rainy hours and flip flops on your feet. It's worth the way and will pay off a lot.

  Views are incredible, you will need a total of 3h to complete the tour but completely worst it.
  You don't need a guide anymore and honestly is not needed. Parking in the area is also free.
  One of the best things to do in Mauritius
