We booked this room hoping to enjoy the comfort of a "4 star hotel" and the whole experience felt like a total rip off. (1) Our room had mould everywhere (room walls, bathroom walls). The smell of mould was very strong and I am allergic. They left the window open and air con on for our arrival, so we could only smell the mould when we returned from the city at night, too late to ask for another room. (2) The balcony sliding door was broken and the terrace was dirty. The hotel staff was definitely aware of all these problems: the mould, the dirt and the broken door were impossible to miss for someone cleaning the room. (3) The bath tub was rusty and non functional, you could barely take a shower. (4) The swimming pool was not functional (it was full of dead insects and there was a "renovation" sign, but the booking ad still listed 'swimming pool' as a facility. (5) The location is to reach (more than 1 hour by bus). (5) The free breakfast was simply edible, a lot of food, but mediocre quality. (6) They provide travel essentials for free (tooth paste, tooth brush etc) and one used disposable shaving razor. A used disposable shaving razor in a "4 star hotel".
Beautiful place. Nothing here but relaxing. Food is ok, not that great. Hotel is old. A lot of things in the room do not work properly. Bathroom with no ventilation fan. Should be much better for this price range.
Wonderful experiencewas there in February and the accommodations were fabulous!! The views were amazing!! The staff was friendly and cordial and went above and beyond my expectations. Be sure to say hi to Pedro at the front desk. A real class act who helped me navigate Macau even after his working hours were over!! Thanks for a great time!!
It is truly historical sites. The atmosphere is amazing. Classic europe in the middle of modern world.
Nice relaxing quiet place. Great view
Cheap price and nice environment. Service is also pretty good. Would recommend if you dont want to waste too much money but still want to have a nice experience.
Management and staff are very friendly. lovely hotel in quiet location very relaxing stay
Surpass expectations in all quarters. Cute little room, sunny sea-facing terrace. Not as remote as portrayed by other reviews. Reception faces pool. By the way, pool is lovely too. Clean room and bathroom.
this is by far the chillest place in macau.. away from the busy city proper.. crew are the nicest! Good food! The rooms are great.. great great crew!!! Will be back soon!! 😊
Great views, friendly staff. The manager is incredible. Hope to be back soon!
So far so good! I like the sound of lapping water. Good place for relaxation! Taxis don't know where it is though!
Beautiful place, good service ,jst a little bit problem with the transportation.
Arrived after major typhoon Hato so.the place was not in its best form.
However, we had a very pleasant one night stay in vintage Macau Portuguese surroundings.
The room and bed was good but for some reason only offered one coffee and one tea for the two of us. Breakfast the following morning buffet style was good.
Service staff very good, pleasant and accommodating.
Will return.
Best hotel to experience authentic old Macau. Wake up to birds singing, totally quiet and surrounded by nature. Best swimming pool in Macau. Attentive, helpful staff.
This is a clean and relaxing place, far away from the pressures of city life. Nice views, efficiently polite staff, decent food and drink at acceptable prices.
Great rooftop area with ocean views and a country setting.
I liked the sorroundings, the restaurant and the service. On the wrong side, the bus to downtown are tiny and crowded and there were lots of mosquitoes in the room. Next time, I think I'll prefer something closer to downtown. Good experience overall.
Nice view and just that is all
Just so delicious, service so friendly, went into the deepest meat coma sleep ever after eating here. So happyyyyyy. Highly recommend the duck rice and African chicken.
Older hotel but great place to get away from it all. Nice pool. All rooms have decent view of small beach whuch guests have pretty much to themselves in the AM. Food is marginal but seeting is beautiful. Rooms a bit dingy. Cabs don't want to go there but will. Bus is easy enough. Coloane is sleepy town compared to rest of Maccau. Highly recomend for cheap day trip & night away from Hong Kong. Not sure I would stay there for more than two
Hotel, which has nothing to do with hustling and bustling Macau - quiet surroundings , colonial-style building /room deco, great service and a beach just in minute of walk - what can be better ? Was also surprised by in-house restaurant - all the dishes, we've ordered, were fingerlickingly taste; Portuguese wine in the restaurant was very reasonably priced.
The only downside - it somewhat off the beaten pass and it might take you at least 20 minutes to get to a relatively big shop.
Excellent service, wonderful scenic location with old world charm, reminiscent of Portuguese colonial past. First class menu with extensive wine list, picturesque bar with comfortable chintz sofas and lounge chairs. A very romantic and restful atmosphere. I would definitely stay there again.
