This little garden lodge is right into the city centre. Only 10 minutes walk from the city palace, but away from the street noise. The lovely garden is a great place to have breakfast or a lovely meal. The food was great. A lot of fresh fruits and juices. The tea leaf salad is the best. The staff is so friendly and helpfull. They helped us a lot with arranging an affordable shared taxi right after the water festival. One evening we sat down with the owners and had a beer together. We had a lovely conversation about life in Myanmar before and after the revolution. We learned a lot hearing it from a local perspective. All in all a lovely and peaceful place from where you can easily discover the city of Mandalay!
Nice Guesthouse - very quiet - good service!
Lovely place, sweet owners and two beautiful doggies!
Fantastic service
Friendly place, nice staff, good location.
Nice guest house
Awesome place and highly recommended. Learned from a fellow traveller that this place has been featured in magazine articles as well.
It is a bit further from the city center compared to other places but after staying here for two nights, I prefer it this way. You don't have to worry about the crazy downtown traffic or awful smell from the dust and car smog. A taxi cost us 3,000 Kyat to the center one way.
If the day is cool it's an easy 30-40 minute walk to the base of Mandalay Hill. On the way are three attractions/pagodas to stop and see. There's other things to see in the area as well so don't worry about being a little further out. Also, your about a 10-15 minute walk to the palace wall.
The hotel has a restaurant downstairs with good prices and the beer is only 2,000 Kyat for a big bottle (650ml).
I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Mandalay. If I hadn't already bought my airline ticket out of Myanmar I'd stay longer.
Nice, quiet, family run guesthouse. Big room. They also have cars for rent with driver for cheaper than normal rate. Dinner was amazing but you have to let them know in advance.
