We had an amazing stay here! Tbe place is quite artsy and very colorful which makes for a great atmosphere! But the best part is the family staff who are very competent and can take care of every request.
It is not in the very center but just rent a bike or scooter and it is easy to get around.
Breakfast and all day tea and coffee is also included.response / report this review -

Lovely, beautiful, big. They speak great English. They are very helpful. Each room has its own theme. Lots of art. Lovely little garden. It was well run and organized. No comfortable places to sit (unless you like hard wooden benches) in public places, and some times were a little noisy because of the road. Overall, a great experience.

This is a fantastic hostel that's also an art school/gallery. It has funky décor, simple but surprisingly nice breakfast and the family that runs it speaks great English. There's also a cool rooftop patio, although mosquitos are a problem in the evening. This is definitely a relaxed, chill hostel so if you're looking to party, you may be disappointed.

Best hostel I've been in my life! Lovely design and deco building with wide beds, great breakfast (almost lunch), clean facilities and joyful-super helpful staffs. I highly recommend to come and stay if you are in Mandalay. Suitable for families, groups of friends and solo travellers. PERFECT CHOICE! You won't regret it.

A single room with air conditioning and a shared bathroom costed $15 per night, which is quite reasonable. The staff is helpful and the vibe is relaxed. The attached motorbike taxi stand makes reaching other parts of town convenient, which is valuable in Mandalay.
I would give it five stars, but the sheets and pillowcases were worn out, one bathroom had mold around the the sink, the other one had a broken pipe beneath its sink, and the WiFi is weak.response / report this review -

Wow!
Breakfast: while the coffee could be stronger, it's not Nescafé. And there is a different main everyday and some homemade spreads for the non-sweet bread. All hard to come by in Myanmar.
Rooms: comfy beds, clean shared showed. But mosquitoes pestered us.

Highly recommend Dreamland GH. Cute and cozy place with friendly and helpful staffs. They can speak Chinese. And it's USD10 per night for one bed and breakfast is included. You can leave your name and date on the whiteboard in front of the front desk to call for a car pool to any places and three ancient city tour.

We have been there at the beginning of March, 2 people. It is just great. Very friendly reception, the rooms are ok (we stayed in a superior room, only 2 people). Obviously, it's a budget place, so the room is small and has its hiccups, but it was still better than expected. You can hire scooters right there and get the amazing self-made map which contains really interesting information. As suggestions it might make sense for the future to offer drinks/ desserts on the rooftop terrace. When we were there it wasn't really used by a lot of people. Also the breakfast buffet is quite basic. Either way, should I go to Mandalay again, I would most probably return. And I definitely recommend the place!

Very nice place! I would always go there again. Nice staff, good breakfast, bike rental service.
Unfortunately there was a window (without glass, just a curtain and shades) between our room and the hallway so it can get hard to sleep when other people talk in the hallway.response / report this review -

We arrived in the early hours of the morning, after walking a good few miles from the bus station, and the owners let us check in without paying for the extra night, which was very generous of them. The hostel is quite arty, with musical instruments etc., and it was nice to play a guitar after being deprived for a few weeks.
Wifi worked pretty well (for Myanmar), free breakfast in the cafe across the road, which has a very well constructed English menu (I can only assume this was written by a native English speaker who stayed/worked at the guesthouse).
All in all, a great place to stay in Mandalay.response / report this review
