The Trip Hostel welcomed my friend and I with open arms and we immediately felt at home. We stayed at this hostel for 4 nights and it was hard to say goodbye. The staff is incredibly friendly (special shoutout to Marcelo and Kako-for being especially nice!) and willing to help you with anything you need including carrying my extremely overpacked luggage up the stairs. The hostel has a great setup, lots of common space areas including two terraces, lots of chairs and tables for sitting and eating, a bar with craft beer brewed by the owners of the hostel, and a kitchen that isn't lacking in utensils! There was a lot of people coming and going when we stayed so we were able to meet a lot of people. The first night all the guest got together and barbecued. You don't have to worry about planning anything or paying covers for the night because Marcelo made sure to put your name on the lists for clubs such as Soho and Ovo. The hostel is perfect for meeting people and enjoying the best of Punta. Also, although the hostel gets pretty wild, i had no problem sleeping due to noise whatsoever in the comfy air conditioned rooms. The staff also does a good job of regularly cleaning the bathrooms and rooms. Couldn't have asked for a better experience

Nice hotel right along the waterfront, and has one of the few gyms in town that allow men and women to workout at the same time which is nice if you're traveling with your woman like I do.
