Elegant house with a beautiful rooftop terrace. The location is also excellent. There has been an issue with bed bugs which the owner is addressing but something to be aware of (though apparently an issue at other places in Tangier). Also the service could be improved.
Pretty place, in the center of the center. Very artistic old house, not too expensive, and very welcoming staff.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Bayt Alice at the start of our 3 month trip around Europe and Africa. Looking back, the welcoming and accommodating atmosphere of this place was unparalleled. From the moment you step inside you feel as if you’ve entered somewhere very special. The facilities are modern and comfortable, yet the decor is intriguing and traditional. It is very clear that passion has been put into crafting every aspect of this place. I also must make special mention of Adil’s hospitality; he ensures you are comfortable and safe at all times. He is a wealth of knowledge on the city and it is clear he views his guests security and comfort with utmost importance. There is literally not a single negative about this place.
with no idea what to expect when traveling to morocco we book a flight and hotel the day before in Spain we chose this place for the location and the taxi option form the airport. just before boarding are flight we had not heard anything back form the email we had sent with flight info but once we cleared customs we where met by taxi driver who had been sent by the lady of the house to pick us up. we had a private room which was large with private bath the roof top terrace was a great spot and we where welcomed with tea and other beverages the lady of the house was great host we really enjoyed are stay, breakfast was served every morning and many other delicious food options where just a few minutes walk
I've only just arrived and I'm already in love with the place and considering extending my stay. It's so cosy and homely here and adil is so friendly. It feels like home away from home.
Its nice place with good service and atention but i put 4 star for the ubication is in old medina and at night maybe can be few dangerous if you wanna cheap place with good atention and dont be scared this is your place im stay here 2 days
But if you be scared can stay at terrace in the hamac
Great location and beautiful decorations/terrace on the roof. The mixed dorm had sturdy bunks and decent mattresses. However, several of us staying found bed bugs our second night, and one of the guests was bitten considerably. We found blood on several of the sheets and pillows and several bugs, yet the owner refused to believe us or acknowledge the guest was bitten, and was incredulous and rude when we asked for a refund, which she refused. Unfortunate ending to an otherwise nice stay.
Friendly hostess, solid beds, clean, quiet, good location
Riad in the heart of the Kasbah. Not that easy to find but it has an incredible decoration in each of the rooms. Would recommend it to anyone.
Riad molt maco amb un personal molt amable i molt agradable. Com a casa grà cies a la Fabienne el Moustapha i la Nà dia. Gent maquissima
Good hostel, top roof is amazing I love it at night,
Fabienne is a wonderful host! She's welcoming and knowledgable. I wish I missed my flight so I could stay longer!
Her guesthouse is located in the southern portion of the medina which makes it easy to explore Tangier.
It is apparent that Fabienne is an ex-architect. The entire house is decorated beautifully. Each room is decorated with a different theme and I adored my room! There's also a colorful terrace where you get a view of the port.
The breakfast was rich and delicious; bread, pastries, goat cheese, jams, and amlou. I can't wait to come back!
Such a cute place! The owner is friendly and serves a lovely breakfast. She will help you find tours and enjoy the best of Tangier. Comfortable Nd eclectic; I would stay here again. Great for solo travelers!
Splendid characterful old hotel down a tiny alley in the medina - run by a Beirut expat Frenchwoman, who has themed each of the rooms (I stayed in the Queen of Sheba's room). Breakfast on the roof terrace (with a view across the Strait to Spain) included delicious pancakes with almond butter.
