We went for crabs. The crab was 7500 rupees which was way too much. The baked crab with fish mixed in to the crab was 1500 rupees. Food was oily. The Crab ‘ which is the restaurant inside Hikka Trans, had a super baked crab for 1200 rupees, way cleaner and yummier. Very disappointing. The two stars are grudgingly given for the grilled tiny prawns.

Great lobsters. Best place to have a meal in hikkaduwa. Highly recommend to anyone. Great staff and owner pays close attention to make sure every guest is served well.

Make sure you sit down by the water and not up in the restaurant where they try to place you.
Great seafood and half-decent pizza. Between 1000-4000 for main dishes. Seafood is pricier than normal food because it's fresh and you get to point at what you want.

One of the famous seafood restaurants in Hikkaduwa. They do serve some really good seafood though their service isn't upto the mark. They actually are a little reluctant to take your order at times even discouraging from ordering thing citing high cooking time. It does offer good beach views and the quality of food too is good. Can visit but beware of the service attitude of the staff.

Beautiful location and right on the beach. We were there briefly and had a potato starter which was quite good. Service was nice and the waiters were always smiling. Comfortable seating.

Amazing food. The lobster was perfectly grilled. During busy times you may have to wait a bit for your food but the wait staff keep you informed. Delicious authentic meal.

To those looking for an outstanding fresh seafood and fish, look no further. I never wrote reviews on any restaurants, but I feel like sharing as everyone should know this outstanding level of service and quality of food. From the owner to waiters and the ambiance as well as (of course) food, it has exceeded our expectations so much so that we came back 3 times in 1 week in Sri Lanka. I hope the level stays the same and don’t forget to try shark, jumbo prawns and crab. The best I have tried in my life with my husband (and we have travelled the world). All the warm wishes and dishes for 2018!! 🙏🏼

Tasty seafood, great atmosphere. You won't regret the mixed seafood grill special. Pricey, but worth it.

The Ambiance Pleasing, The Staff very pleasant and courteous. However, the Taste and The Quality of the Food is not what you would expect and the dishes are way over priced.

Extremely over priced. The food looks awful. No napkins.
The taste of the usual dish prawn soup is one of the worst I've ever eaten in Sri Lanka.

Was recommended by a hotel staffer, for good sea food. Turned out to be the only bad meal we had in a fantastic trip to Sri Lanka!
Ambience: Dingy, with grimy chairs & tables
Service: Completely disinterested servers, with the exception of 1 or 2. Took us ages to call them. Our servers changed thrice during the course of the meal. The first one who took our order seemed like he had been held captive at the restaurant.
Food: Bad! We ordered lobsters & fish. The lobster was rubbery and the fish devoid of any juice. Veggies on the side consisted of grilled tomatoes that were probably months old.
There are several nice places to go to in Hikkaduwa - don't think we are going to come back to this one.response / report this review -
