Basic hotel but close to beach, host is very friendly

My favorite place in Mirissa! The room was clean and cheap. There is a big Garden so youre a little apart from the other guesthouses and have more privacy and homestay character.
But the most imporant thing: very very nice and friendly people! The food is very tasty :) hint: Order a Sri Lanka Breakfast.

What was good:
-very chip price (10 Euro per night) for rooms and services
-very friendly owner, you can ask about everything and you get honest answer
For example you can ask REAL prices for fruits (traders see the foreigners and tell price few times higher)
-fast responding for all request: clean, change towels and sheets , laundry, dinner etc
-really close to the beach: 2 mins walk
-you can order national dishes and they will cook it (very tasty)
What can be better:
-too small rooms for 2 big sized beds
-you need to ask for changing towels/sheets and cleaning
-room on the 2 floor of separate house: was a problem with water (you need to go down and push the button, the you push again to turn off) so we asked to change and got the number with A/C
So this is very good place in the case:
-you want cheap number near the beach
-you come to Mirissa for a long time and need some place for the few first days to find a good one
Result: the price is very reasonable
Also i advice never use mediator services when looking for a house/rooms, just go to the place and talk with the owner. And bargain!)response / report this review -

We have stayed in this guesthouse in the April 2013. Rooms are new, everything is clean and tidy, free wi-fi. 100 meter to the beach. No air condition. The owners - a nice, friendly family.
