  Well known One of the main station in the line. Almost all trains stop here. Two train lines get combined here. Lot of memories to remember.

  One & Only triangle railway station in Sri Lanka. Kandy/Mathale - Colombo - Badulla trains meet here. Well maintained. Oldest Colonial era station still remain as monement.

  Peradeniya junction is a three way junction towards Colombo, Kandy and Badulla. Old station was built in 1867, it's still properly maintain for visitors observation.

  Peradeniya railway station is one of the oldest railway stations in sri lanka.
  It is at the juction of kandy-badulla line and the colombo-kandy line.
  It is the transit location for passengers traveling to badulla and colombo.
  Badulla line from here has some of the scenic views of the hill country of sri lanka.
  This has 3 platforms. 1 to the kandy-colombo side, 2 to the kandy-badulla side and a small platform 3 to the colombo-badulla side.
  An interesting fact is that. To get to this railwaystation from any direction one always need to cross a railway track.

  It is one of the major railway junctions in Sri Lanka, where the Matale line, via Kandy, branches off from the Main Line.
  This station has 3 platforms which forms a triangle (called Wye or Railway Triangle) and this unique configuration allows a locomotive to turn around without using a turntable. Peradeniya junction is probably the only station where you can see a railway triangle.

  This is the main railway junction it connects Colombo Badulla and Kandy railway roads, it’s nice and clean. The intercity train from Colombo fort stops at this Station, there are connecting trains at this station, the station master and other staff are keen on their duties

  Nice environment. The famous yaka palama across river Mahaweli is near by Walk towards kandy station a bit along railway from here to find it.

  This place is known as Penideniya. Really a clean place. Once you get out of the station you can get a bus(Penideniya-kandy/ Watadeniya-Kandy) to reach the main road.Mostly people get down at this station to go to Peradeniya Botanical Garden. Bus fare will be just 10/15 Rupees from here. You can find buses at any time during day time.
