It's a substation .. only few slow trains stop there .. no staff on duty nor ticket counters ..

It's not a railway station proper. Don't go and get disappointed if you are new. Used mostly by students. Very short trip trains only one or two.

It's Sub Railway Station. You can't buy railway tickets, no officers on duty. In some trains that stop their we can buy tickets from the guard( not all). Sizable number of school girls ( Seetha Devi, Sawrnamali, Darmawickrama) and boys (Kingswood) and people working in near by officers use it. Morning 7.20 train ( from Nawalpitiya to Kandy), 10.15 a.m. ( Nawalapitiya-Kandy), 2.05 p.m. (Kandy- Polgahawela), 2.15 p.m. ( Kandy- Nawalapitiya) are some of the trains that stop here. Sizable number of people use it as it is place in a busy area. Shelter is not enough especially from sun and rain.
