This ticket will issue by the wild life department of sri lanka. If you want visit pigeon island try it in morning 8.30 am to 2.30 pm. Dont try out evening hours as boat services will not be there after 3pm. If you want to go to pigeon island do not search for the pigeon island from the google map. It shows you wrong and long distance path from the trinco town. You should go to nillavelli beach to take the boat to the island.

This is the wild life office. 1stly you have to buy tickets from this office ( ID reuqired) . Next to the office there are boat service (private). Then you can take a boat from then ( 07 persons can travel in 01 boat ).
Cost Rs 3,000 per boat.
15 min boat ride to pigeon island.
If you can make a group, you can save the boat cost.
Pigeon island is a superb place .
Clear water .

Price for 2 persons is 5700 for one day excluding the boat. Obviously if you are not foreigner they don't treat you like a walking wallet and price is ten time less.
