The Shastrawela Mani Naga Pabbatha Viharaya
If you are going to Pottuvila or Panama, don't forget to visit here. Shastrawela is a fairly obscure temple in the Eastern Province.
The earliest known Kalyana Kannika (dated at the beginning of the first century) was a sub-division of the Rohana region. View all the ancient ruins and ruins of a great Thanksgiving. Iyenavā. There is a Buddha statue lying in one of the caves, but the treasure was destroyed by the treasure hunter.

It is said that the same king made the Kalanda Vihara in this direction. But the ruins of this Kanda temple have not been discovered yet. However, some believe that this place is now known as Samudragiri Vihara.
You can get access to a nice surfing beach (Elephant rock) using the same route to the temple.
Amazing place. We had the opportunity to talk to the locals. Go on a hike to see the old temple. Will surely visit again.

An amazing. And totally overlooked ancient but highly relevant historical place. Minutes South of Arugam Bay. Great views from the top. Beautiful quiet and non commercial meditation and a fantastic nature setting
