This is about the room not the food which was really good.
Room very smelly because of the shower pipes.
My mistake but do take a room *with* air conditioning! The room was so hot!
No hot water (but it's so hot in the bay you don't actually need it) Most disturbing the water was salty! (not as salty as sea water but still)
No room cleaning in between our 3day stay.
Of course for this price you won't have any extras such as tv, fridge, etc. A bed towels and shower that's it.
On the plus side, very cheap, room clean and friendly staff.
Maybe ok for a one night stay, I recommand somewhere more expensive for longer stays.response / report this review -

Everything is really good. The best Ice coffe in Sri Lanka (for sure, I try everywhere) avocado salad is amazing, good prices and nice people!!! Dont miss it!!

Very nice place! Cheap and so tasty! Good asian food, sri lankan local food, italian food,everything you try is so good. The place is really nice! Best cold coffee in town!

Me and my friends have been stopping to eat here for most of our meals here in Arugam Bay. The staff is very friendly and now that we know them, they've even given us free til tuk rides around town! I only have experience with the restaurant not the hotel. The restaurant puts out good food at decent prices.

Had a great time with Nazeer at East Beach! Super accommodating and very helpful with everything I needed during my weekend stay. Great location and great property. Looking forward to coming back!

Boss really really stingy (wanted to make us pay for air conditionned + a refill of my cup of tea at breakfast), spends his whole day on his computer whilst the rest of the team is trying to fulfill our needs. Provocative way of speaking. Lets his team sleep on the ground outside without blanket or pillow whilst there are still rooms available. Attached the place where his team is forced to sleep.

Very nice place with ocean-view rooms and a very friendly staff. The structure also provides for many services such as tuk tuk rides around Arugam Bay and taxi to any place in Sri Lanka (including Negombo airport). Highly recommended.

It's a very cool and cozy place to stay in Arugam Bay and perfect for going out to surf. Supermarket is next to the room. Also the beach is 50 meters away. The room is very clean and the people are very nice. 100% recommendation!

I highly recommend east beach surf resort!
Nice rooms and close too the Beach. The staff is really friendly and does a good job.
They organized a cheap tuctuc.

We stayed 2 nights at the East Beach Surf Resort. The rooms are clean, with a mosquito net and you can ask for AC if you want. Hotel is just next to the beach, (2 minutes by walk only) and next to a lot of restaurants. You have to try the Italian coffee at Easy beach surf resort! It's very good. They also offer some good food. I recommend !
