Got drinks here while sitting outside on their deckchairs. Nice view! They were setting off firecrackers intermittently to scare off the noisy crows which sort of affected the chilled beach vibe.

We spent 4 nights at Mambo’s and enjoyed it a lot! Everything is at ease here.
The place is located directly on the long and paradisiac beach with turquoise clear water. It’s a quiet area with a long jungle beach and surf spot on the right hand side and the village with a few houses and colourful fishing boats on the left hand side. The small houses of the hotel and central bar-area are elegantly built with local materials like slightly curved tree trunks and palm roofs and it all is beautifully situated among tall palm trees. I really loved the style of this classy chill-out area! Also the guest rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We took the cheapest room and it was perfect, very clean and equipped with a strong ventilator and moscito net. The staff is very friendly and memorable – very interesting young people and special characters. All of them were always welcoming and helpful. They make guests feel at home. I brought some work with me and could not imagine a better working place than in Mambo’s beach cafe where there was always very good music, fresh fruit juices, lassies and delicious food and even the free wifi was fast.
Our recommendation: go swimming at 6 am in the morning in the warm and clear water while watching the tropical sunrise!
There are also many things to be discovered from here - like a Yala East Safari that you can directly book at Mambo’s, surfing on the many dreamy and almost empty beaches of this area, spotting big crocodiles in the nearby crocodile lake, enjoying sunset on Elephant’s Rock, going on a lagoon safari near Whiskey Point… You can definitely spend 2 weeks at Mambo’s without getting bored.

Location and place are good. But since aggresive management threatened me. My young daughter and a staff member with sticks and raw violence we can not recommended this Hikkaduwa inspired establishment.

Really nice place with good music and a nice environment. I've ordered a club sandwich, the bread was to hard and service was very slow. The fruit juices are very good though.

Stayed here a while ago with a friend on a surf trip.
We had one of the villas and really enjoyed our stay. Having breakfast with your feet in the sand overlooking the beach was awesome.
A/C was great, had WI-FI throughout the whole place and the kitchen menu was good too, ended up just chilling on the day beds eating there most times.
Place has a great vibe with hammocks, ping pong table and other things with really friendly staff to top it off. Would love to stay again
