Owned by my parents. And managed by my godfather until recently. Best low budget in the entire area. Direct access to the ocean and surf point. All main rooms/dorms are fully air-conditioned. And: It's the first, earliest and most original hostel on the entire East Coast

An amazing low budget hostel with all modern comforts. All rooms have air con. In the Bay's best ocean front location. This is the 1st ever proper hostel on the entire East Coast. Part of the epic Siam View Hotel.
Beware: The Arugam Hostel is NOT the "YMCA" shown on the main photo! This is an old shot and no longer managed by the same good people. The new Abay Hostel is located in the vast tropical garden behind now. NOT on the main road front at all.response / report this review -

Great vibes here, very chilled out but party if you want it. Staff super friendly and helpful. Basic but clean for the most part, excellent value for the price (A/C definitely a perk!). Had a great time here would come back for sure!
