This place is amazing. We stayed twice in our stay in Sri Lanka, once on the way in and once on the way out. It is located very close to the airport which is its main advantage. When we got there as we were just arriving into the country, the host helped us plan how to get down to Mirissa, including arranging a tuktuk to come for us very early in the morning, and then directing us which buses and trains to take. We were meant to miss the free breakfast form 7-9am but it was already put out at 6:25am. The dorm room is air conditioned. The top bunks are extremely high.
On our way out of the country, the host offered to upgrade us to a private room because there were only top bunks available and we were travelling as a couple. So kind! The private room had two single beds that were pushed together. It did not have air conditioning but had two fans which were adequate. Again, they arranged a tuktuk to take us to the airport in the morning.
The backyard of the hostel is wonderful with a view out to a lagoon. Great place to drink a couple beers. The lounges and kitchen are clean and pleasant. My husband and I played a few rounds of ping pong in one of the lounges.
I would recommend this place to anyone coming through Sri Lanka as a place to get settled or as you're heading out.response / report this review -

Really close to the airport so super easy as a first or last stop. The owner is very friendly and helpful and offers a great hostel service. There is free tea/water and breakfast (specify if you’re a vegetarian) and the shower was always hot!

The best Hostel to start your trip in Sri Lanka! Very good location to take bus/train anywhere! It’s only 5 mins by far to the airport!

Very good location if arriving late to airport and looking for a place just for one night. They had own tuktuk for reasonable price as well. The place itself was quite basic, but clean.

We stayed here two nights and it was very good. Friendly stuff!Minimal breakfast but almost sufficient. Not far away from airport and good restaurants.Deluxe-Room was clean and with AC! Socket Adapter and mosquito spray available.

OMG! 100% the best hostel. It was so nice.
I became best friends with Siri the housekeeper as well as the receptionist from England. She is so nice. But she spend too much time skyping with her German boyfriend.
Anyway - they offer fishing activities at late afternoon. So nice!
