First of all, staffs are are very friendly and very helpful. We stayed one night at this hotel April 2018 was told us UK tour company this is a 4 star hotel. When having shower "worms" coming out of the tiles grout, bath is filthy, mirror wires hanging out, worst hotel we stayed in Sri Lanka. Will not recommend to our friends . Definitely NOT 4 star .

Loved it here! We stopped for a couple of nights to see the safari. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great and the rooms were very comfortable.

Our room had 2 Balconies 1 small other very large. Could not see much mostly trees and monkeys. Rooms were large and spacious.

I dropped in here for a wedding.
The security guard did not understand the meaning of Valle Parking.
The parking was about 100 meters away from the hotel.
However I am still rating this a 4 because of its scenic views and beauty.
The nature is well preserved.
However the facility needs a little more upkeep.

I nice place to stay and relax. Most staff seem well trained and attentive. Meals were tasty. Rooms are spacious, maybe a little dated in decor, but this is in line with the overall atmosphere of it being a laid back resort. Massages are avail from US$45 for 60 mins. Pool is nice but a little small.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the positives stopped there.
The first room we were shown smelled very strongly of stale cigarette smoke, we were then shown a further 3 rooms which smelled of damp and we settled on the fourth room, which still smelled of stale cigarettes but less than the first.
We then wanted to relax by the pool but there was a party, including karaoke, and the noise was horrendous. We later learned this was a local party and not even hotel gusts!
Lunch service in the restaurant was poor and the dinner buffet was worse. The food was cold and we had to settle for fresh pasta as this was made to order and hot.
We were supposed to stay 2 nights but checked out after one, speaking to the hotel manager he didn’t seem surprise and refunded the 1 night.
I would not recommend staying here and next time we’ll opt for one of the guest houses/home stays.
Lastly, the hotel staff wanted us to have a nice and we blame management for poor training and lack of investment in staff.response / report this review -

Beautiful hotel to stay, can have a calm and quiet time. They should have a look on their menu, I didn’t like it much. When I ordered a pasta carbonara they bought half cooked pasta al burro con formaginno with some parsemen cheese on the side.

Nice 5* hotel in Udawalawe area. Staff is nice and rooms are nicer. Have big swimming pool. Good food and easy location for Udawalawe National Park for the safari.

Overall this hotel is very good. The rooms are beautiful (well we did have the Royal Suite) and the staff were great. The view from our room was the pool and basically we could jump into the pool from our balcony (if you really wanted to of course). The restaurant was ok. A little pricey for a buffet but a great selection. I would recommend this hotel if you were planning on doing the Udawalawe Safari - only about 20 mins by jeep.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Food deserves a spl mention- very good with a wide choice. Very hospitable and well trained staff. Very entertaining to watch the monkeys troups that pass through the property. Enjoyable stay

Bit dirty, looks amazing going in but it needs a scrub. Be careful booking a massage, they will prioritize a walk in client so you might as well not bother.

Good accommodation with good food. But as far as a travel experience goes nothing special about this place. Of course you got your average closer to attraction advantage, the spa, the pool, spacious rooms.
But don't expect them to even give you an early check-in. My request was in the middle of the off-season of tourism, and they couldn't give me my room 30mns earlier.response / report this review -
