Place look like star hotel but food is not good/washroom very bad & old furniture in banquet hall. Staff are good

Place looks grand but once you enter you get to see the shortcomings. The staff is very nice and very helpful. The lake provides a sense of calm to a city soul. The lake becomes more interesting when it rains. Too many insects, old furniture and pipe fittings, not so good food are some of the negative points.

Zero for customer service. I went there for a quick breakfast bite. Guy at the restaurant said buffet only, but I called them before going there and they clearly said there's an à la carte. Then I asked from the girl at the reception and she sorted that out. Finally I got to eat the most expensive egg sandwich I've ever eaten. But problem is not with the price. It's with the service. May be they do not prefer local customers.

I was here for lunch only. The staff are really helpful and attentive. The food is really nice and quite affordable. The premises are clean and the view from the restaurant is remarkable.
Good place to stay.

We found an earthworm in the bathroom, a dead bug on the bed, and lots of dust on the floor of the room. The towels are not clean and have old stains and dust. The pillows are the same.
THERE IS NO WIFI IN THE ROOMS!
The food (dinner buffet) here is expensive, but it's pathetic except for the Sri Lankan spread which is quite good. But not good enough to make up for the flies buzzing around your food.
The breakfast buffet spread was very average with no selection of meat.
When we arrived there was a wedding function going on, and the guests were drunk and smoking and creating a lot of ruckus which could be heard till our room on the fourth floor. Basically this place falls short of being classy.
Although the staff at the front desk are prompt and polite, the overall feeling is negative due to the above mentioned issues.

One of the best in the area with wonderful service and great views. have a massive banquate hall also that can accomodate 350 eassily and 500 along with other hall adjesent.

A beautiful place to host events! The staff is very very helpful and friendly!! Rooms and accommodation is also up to mark!
Its nearness to Ratnapura is also quite less making it an ideal place to stay!

Very bad service for wedding and local guests, hotel staff collecting foods from used plate to re arrange buffet and they are refilling used welcome drink even.

Great place to be .homely atmosphere.reception was really good including house keeping.i will definitely come again here,water was just close to my room.early morning scenic lake view is really worth to stay in the room.tidy clean room made my stay better.
