This is a colonial era rest house and restaurant is full of old charm. The rooms are in good maintenance. The food and the service is very good. This is a fantastic place to stay a day on your way to Badulla or Bandarawela or definitely to have your meal of the time or to a cup of coffee to relaxing time after a taxing drive.

One of the great experience I had with couple of my friends here. Corkage charges are there. Food is good (bites). Lunch buffet was available. Didn't took it though. Bit towards the expensive side. Possible to take a shower from the river along side the rest house. River was bit crowded though. Legand says the former president J.R spent his honeymoon here. This needs some verification.

Amazing location and it is an institution. However the service has gone downhill.. Went there for breakfast.. Told them we only wanted bread and a couple of other things but they brought the breakfast buffet which we didn't want and then charged us the full buffet price. They made us wait nearly 30 mins to bring food that we didn't want. Really poor..

Situated on the banks of the Belihuoya River amidst lush greenery, The Rest House Belihuloya features a restaurant, a children’s play area and rooms. This is a resthouse maintained by the Ceylon Hotel Corporation. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Meals are tasty and not expensive. This is a good location to have a little rest while travelling through the A4 highway passing the Belihuloya.

Hotel must have been one of the best hotels in the region. Unfortunately these days are gone. Rooms are old, dirty and falling apart. Prices are way too high. Food is overpriced. Service is friendly but slow and not trained at all.

Very good place to have your food one the way to hill country on in return from hill country. The Sri Lankan style food is very tasty and if you have time you can have a bath also from belihuloya.

What a scenery and the river is a must to swim in.
I went there with my friends and we really enjoyed the river.
To be honest the food and staff I can't comment but the location alone is in my opinion great alone

OK place for a night stay. We were on our way to Horton Plains and Kandy, so this is a proper place for a night halt before you climb up the hills. Well placed near a stream, had gushing water and the sound inside the rooms was soothing, with ample parking space, place was OK by Rest House standards and decent rate of 4K per night. The rooms were average, some of the openings which were covered with netting were torn, all kinds of insects were getting in, fortunately we had heavy rains, so the insect load was less, we switched off all lights inside room. Please check room before taking. The restaurant and bar were good though and linen neat.
